Honestly, I wouldn't want that 365 feature. If somebody has an off-night and I download that roster the next day, I don't want them to play passive just because they did the night before. That's dumb. ahh so dumb

2K has been doing "DNA" aka TENDENCIES, since 2k6, so it's not groundbreaking. Just give me updates every month or so, or I download better ones from PortlandBlazer.

Well, that's where people are wrong about Live's system. Tendencies and such are only updated every 10 days or so. Rosters are updated nightly. Synergy is collecting the information but you shouldn't see any changes outside of every 10 day span.

There's a lot of misinformation out there on the feature.

Exactly what I was thinking, dumb move by EA but what do you expect from them, let them have their own season and let me have mine, I don't want my player shooting bricks because Yao got busy with a couple of hookers a week ago.

The 2K basketball team is the one set of sports developers who I give the benefit of the doubt to. I've got to image that some of the guys who worked on CHOOPS 2K8 moved over to the NBA game during this game cycle.

If they were able make even incremental improvements from what we saw from post patch CHOOPS 2K8 in terms of A.I., then I'm expecting it to be it to be quite nice.

There weren't any changes in the A.I. post patch CHOOPS 2K8. The animations were better, I think, and team attributes seemed to be affected. The AI wasn't any better, though. You could still bring the ball up court and dribble at the top of the key until the shot clock ran out. The same applies for the CPU PG. FYI, it's 'imagine', not 'image'.

I agree I think the overall tendencies are better than having a player play the way he did 2 nights ago. The only thing that impressed me about the 365 was the generic editable player that would be placed on the team if he was becoming a factor throughout the season, that beats starting over your association midseason to create a sleeper.

The tendencies will be updated every 10 days or so, not "2 nights ago." And they will not be drastic updates as well. It will be based on the way they are playing NOW. This year in the NBA, not last year.

Plus, you always have the option to going back to a previous "rating" if you would like. You are not being forced to use the updated rosters with tendency changes.

And if 2k implements something similar, most of you will be eating your words.

As long as this game is not the cheese fest that 2k8 was, you can run plays without being forced to stand on a circle, and they tone down some of the more ridiculous shots in the game(Shaq double clutch layup, Lebron dunking from the freethrow line over the entire team.). I'm in.

Oh and for the love of god please fix Monta Ellis' player model. He looked like he was infected with AIDS and the Ebola Virus at the same time in 2k8.

FIBA teams would be nice also.

now that I think about it, it does sound as if it's a good feature. I guess it depends on how they make the players change because some players may have the same skill level all year, but may or may not do that well during the season. Will EA still make them play better or worse off even though their skill level is still the same? All these dynamics are really hard to capture. But if we have the ability to choose to update our rosters with the 365 DNA thing, then I guess it's good.

Does 2k let you edit and create players through out your season? If so then, you could manually do similar things as EA will be doing, though it's always easier to have it done by updates.

The AI did improve. Befor the patch you could turn off the three second rule and the shot clock and camp and let your center dribble in the key for 5 mintues. After the patch they would strip you.

you have to understand the Live has made some lofty promises in the past and has lived up to almost none of them. It would take a lot for people to have faith in them now...

The feature is exciting, but I would be more excited if 2k did it. Just because I trust them and their 2k bball series more them Live.

I think Live, in the past has made features to look great, but are sub par. But in my opinion the Live 365 feature appears to be fool-proof.

sorta by the time they started running the play the shot clock was at 9 seconds so and i felt you kind of did unless is one of the quick plays

Why the heck do we only get 2 timeouts for the 4th quarter? No one ever really uses the other available so why not let us save 3-4 timeouts going into the 4th quarter?

Most of the time, a close game is lost because you're out of timeouts and cannot advance the ball, or cannot have a comeback because of no timeouts.

I'm just saying, allow us more than 2 timeouts going into the 4th quarter if we dont use them up!

I certainly understand that but you have to give credit where credit is due. Had they mentioned they were updating tendencies nightly I would agree. But the fact is they are not, despite what some what to believe.

The key thing here is this: we, as gamers, do not lose with the current system. You can always change anything you use. If you want the newest rosters, you can go in and make changes if you see the tendencies were changes. There is not anything you can't change in regards to this feature.

Complaining about it is just trying to find something to complain about. It's unwarranted, IMO. Who cares if they update anything when you can always go back and decide not to utilize the updates? You have a choice.
