Because as far as game releases go, the time for teasers is over. Inside a month of release, you're supposed to supply gamers with the information they need to decide on their purchases. Games are 60 bucks now, and it's a courtesy to your fan base to give them the opportunity to make informed choices. "Teasing" inside of a month of release is inconsiderate, and people are reacting.

Again, in stark contrast, the competition has given gamers a demo. I don't want 2k to rush out a demo, but it'd be nice if they did their best to make sure the customers were taken care of from an information standpoint.

Well said...Im familiar with their "build hype by anticipation" way, but like you said, there's a large gorup of fans either on the fence or trying to budget their spending and 2k isnt helping their cause there with that group

Yeah this is pretty ridiculous. I mean, if this is their plan, it is a god awful one. These teasers should have been released every week at the same time starting four weeks ago. How long can they take to make and upload? If the final engine wasn't done four weeks ago, the game would obviously never make it to the shelves...so there is really no excuse for all this delay.

It really makes them look unprofessional, or at the least, uncaring. I'm not sure which one is worse to be honest. I am not one to ever complain about this sort of thing either. But this is beyond poor on their part...especially with what EA has been doing for weeks. I don't think you have to go all party politics and meet everything they do, that's fine. It's just that the discrepancy isnt' a small margin, it's like the freaking grand canyon.

Oh well, one month is one month no matter how you look at it. I would hire a new marketing team regardless.

i completely agree. i play both EA and 2k games. in my opinion, EA makes a horrible basketball game. i've been playing the 2k bball series since the dreamcast days. is this some kind of sick joke? this is all we get at this point? look, i understand if there is a real legitimate marketing tactic involved in this as this is business, capitalism, right? but i mean, i want to know how this can be legitimized with the sales number from year to year and comparative to EA. can we at least get an answer to this? maybe then people can understand why nothing is out yet.

The only we answer we get is, "2k does this every year guys, stop acting surprised" Which is absolute horse ****...They really let this "flagship title" thing get to their heads. I'm no fan of Live but they aren't dealing with the game of 2 years ago.

WTF was that....you cant be serious. These slow motion teasers have to be the worst marketing of a game i have ever seen. 2k is lucky they put out a good product bc otherwise with the lack of info and crappy so called "Teasers" i'd be playing another game

what in the world was the point of that teaser? I don't even think that should qualify as a teaser. Wow... maybe they've got a slew of info and vids coming out in a minute. Hopefully! Because even the patient are getting fed up.

This trailer was absolute garbage, this is the worst marketing in the history of video games. Drop a damn demo already, and cancel the rest of these lame *** teasers. Seriously!!!!

Now you are pissing your die hard fans off, and I'm first in line, with a need for 2k anger management.

Some of the words I want to say right now are too hot for OS.

But like Sage said,"Dark Alley and a knuckle sandwich is waiting for you".

Stop ruining the passion for the series, with the childish marketing.

Usually I'd just overlook your post as "here we go again" but now I'm like, I feel just like you... We need more than teasers... next week better bring with it loads of 2k info or else i'm gonna think something is up


nba live = playable demo, 2k = no super solid info , no serious "trailer", just 3 teasers and a leaked video

We probably can expect the 4th teaser on Friday, October 3rd, and the demo sometime before the christmas rush. But seriously, it's like they are blissfully unaware of the actual release date.
