2k9 has brought the NBA game to the gameplay level of College Hoops.

Watching all the vids over the last two weeks I got that feeling. I don't know if ex-CHoops devs moved over to the NBA team or what but something seems much more CHoopish bout NBA2K9 than in the past - and that's just from watching vids. I can't wait until after I get to feel it while playing the game.

Anyway, guys, I know you are feigning for a hit of some 2K9, but some of these questions about the game are just a lil overboard and tedious things to look up IMO. Please be happy Pared is even answering questions at all...I mean I know I would answer about 10 of them before I would forget the world existed while getting in some quality NBA 2K9 time...So don't burn him out b/c he may not do it next year (or anyone else who may get it early). Anyway, I'm not knocking anyone here specifically... just throwing that out there...

Only one question-

I know you already played against the Mavs in a previous game....is Dirk's sig shot changed from 2K8??? I only wanted to know, because that was one of the single biggest gripes of last years game along with Kobe's being too slow (but I know Kobe's is the same)

Is Dirk's shot altered in any way from 2K8?>>

I got a question....Does the color of some of the players accessories change colors depending on if they are home or away. I mean besides the headbands. Example: when Kobe is at home he wears the white sleeve and when away he wears the black sleeve. And Paul Pierce arm sweatband white when home and green when away. It changes on a lot of players in the NBA.

Pared i see that you played with the rockets..So from playing with them does T-mac play like himself. Is he good at midrange, can he create for himself and is he a good passer like in real life.

First, thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. I know it must be hard to really get into enjoying the game when you have to look at every little thing to answer questions.

I will ask a couple of questions and if you can't get to them that's cool, I can probably wait the week or less to get the game and find out for myself.

First, have you seen any injuries, if so is it real-time or does it cut away to a cutscene of your guy lying on the ground grabbing his injured body part.

Second, in Association, not sure if this was fixed in the patch last year. But a player would get hurt for say like 2 weeks and then when he was healthy he was not re-inserted into the starting lineup. I am referring to CPU controlled teams.

Thanks again for answering the questions and can't wait to hear if you like Live or 2k better.

2k9 has brought the NBA game to the gameplay level of College Hoops.

Oh:

-Gone is the 24.5 second shot clock

-The Bucks court looks absolutely terrible on the PS3 version. I don't know why. Very underwhelming. Most other courts haven't looked like this. I don't know if it is the green or what...
