Miller has a short leash with me this year. I think I will try and get rid of him before the deadline aproaches. ...especially since he is on the last year on his contract. I don't plan on resigning him with Lou sitting there waiting to take over...so I might as well get something for the guy. Dre's lack of offense is killing me once again. I'm not going to put up with it this year.

I am anxious to see how my season will play out.

Question JB, what settings are you using? Mine are in parenthases...

    Level? (all-star)
Sliders? (heelfans with some minor adjustments)
    Miniutes per Qtr? (9 min)
    Rosters? (nogsters/portlandblazers)
    KRobb...

I'm playing on Pro now, 12 minute QTRs, & the Big 3 sliders and rosters....

In my Suns association I was running on all-star and having some great games; some User/Cpu blowouts, O/T thrillers, and some grinders...The Suns are an obviously better team than the sixers, but I think the chemistry level had a great deal to do w/ my success too...It was never below 90, and I noticed a lot of different thing happening on the court...Unlike my Sixers association where I'm currently at 43%, and will have guys standing around on offense or leaving guys wide open/getting confused on defense.

I was just getting blown out almost every other game w/ philly, and having the CPU just torch me in an 'unrealistic' manor; like the Pacers shooting 57% from the field, and Marquis Daniels looking like MJ.

I had to bump it down to pro...I'm having much better results now. I just beat L.A. in a game where they led the entire 1st half, were up by 11 at one point, but I hung in there and battled them. I held them to 35 points in the 2nd half after they torched me in the 1st half for 64. L.A. shot 43% and I shot 46%. I'm liking Pro because the CPU plays more down to earth than they do on All-Star...The backdoor passes which would kill me on All-Star are toned down more realistically on Pro.

In two games on Pro I've gotten two wins, but both games have been a constant contest w/ me never blowing anyone out.

I beat Chicago in O/T 116-110, and L.A. in reg. 110-99. Both games the CPU lead at one point by double digits.

If it hadn't been for Kareem Rush against L.A. I would've gotten killed. Willie Green got the start and was failing me once again so I decided to go w/ Rush who scored 20 pts in 21 minutes off the bench. He hit 2 Big 3's for me, and was knocking down some nice mid-range jumpers.

I continue to kill w/ Thaddeus. I need to go ahead and make him my starting SF (since he will be starting IRL). With that being the case I'll move Iggy to SG, and not trade for Mobley. Instead I'll trade Willie Green and a #2 for another big because Sammy gets tired too fast, and Ratliff does too and w/ Brand likely to get injured again I'll need to shore up my big men because Evans can't be counted on to score.

      Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

      The Rockets just killed me.
I went in with the mentality to shut down T-Mac and attack the rim to try and get Yao in foul trouble seeing as I had absolutely no chance of stopping Yao with my defense. I did a good job on T-Mac, but Yao grabbed every offensive rebound and dropped it back in with a lay up or dunk. So I started doubling Yao and it worked for about 5 minutes until he stopped waiting for the double to come and he just straight kicked it out for the open or mildly contested three.

Then T-Mac got going. He hit a three from 3 steps behind the 3-point line with DWade in his face with 1 left on the shot clock.
      I could not believe it.

Next thing I knew I had to double both T-Mac and Yao. Adelman sent Brent Barry on and it was a wrap. I think thats the worst I've been beat up so far. But funnily enough I don't feel I was cheated, it's more like their team was just way too talented.

I know Evans can board, but I need a PF who has more offense to his game if he is to come off the bench. When Brand gets back from his injury Speights will provide that offense, abd w/ a healthy Brand and Speights as his back-up, Reggie Evans' contract becomes a pyriah to my cap.

Green...Well...you try playing w/ him...I just can never do anything w/ him. Mobley has a better mid range jumper, and 3pt rating and can stretch the floor better than Green. Like Evans...Green also has a contract that I can't stand, and pair that w/ the fact that I am inept w/ him...he's just not needed/wanted.

          Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Just simmed the remaining 10 games left of my 58 game season since I knew I was no where near a play off spot. I was projected to have the 3rd draft pick, but ended up getting the 5th spot, didn' tmatter anyways since I ended up drafting the same guy I would have picked if I were at the 3 spot. Wade Webber was my pick, he has a golden goatee for some odd reason...The team tihs year to look out for is the Memphis Grizzlies, not only did they get the 1st pick, they were able to acquire Carlos Boozer so now they have OJ Mayo, Boozer, and Gaay, pretty solid...

as for my team it is:

          Udrih/Webber/Mclinnis
          Martin/Garcia
          Gforce/Donte Greene
          Hawes//Jason Thompson/KennyThomas
          Brad Miller/DJ White

Just won my first game in OT against the Hornets. Hoping to make it to the playoff for the first time

2nd year with the grizz played about 30 games of my first season. simmed the rest. mayo won r.oy.projected to get the 3rd pick but luckily got the first one. I chose an 81 19 year old center name kirk childress out of maryland. during my first season i traded around and ended up with kapnono, francisco garcia and jason thompson. During the off season signed mboute muta and marvin williams, anyway this year im 3-2 and doing much better. why are players ratings go down even if your wiinning like mayo is 88 but has a red arrow by his name, how do i dtop with the ****ing red arrow **** lol?anyway my line up is...

            conley 83/crittenton 70/mayo 87
            mayo 87/garcia 76/carrol 72
            williams 76/mbaou moute 71/arthur 74

              Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

In my 76ers assoc.....Played two good games last night.

Lost to Detroit 97-95 on a last second tap in by Rip.

Next game was @ home vs. NJ, and it was really no contest. I went up by 11 to finish the 1st qtr, and never lost the lead. Final score was 100-85. Something weird happened, and that gm was never saved to my ViP profile. I unlocked two achievements; the trivia one, and 'good hands' so my user profile was active, but for whatever reason this gm wasn't saved to my ViP.

              Anyone know why?

After that NJ gm I had like the next 4 days off. My next two games were against CLE; one away and one at hm. I simmed the first contest and actually won it. That was also the last day in which Elton Brand would be 'OUT'. Now I've got him back, and hopefully he doesn't go down again.

Current record is 11-11. I'm third in the Atlantic division, 7th overall in the East. Believe it or not the Knicks are ahead of me w/ a 12-10 record. The Celtics are the best team in the NBA w/ only 3 losses thru Dec. 12th, and the Bobcats are the 2nd best team in the East w/ only 4 losses.

Some notables...The Suns are doing horrible. I think they're like 6-17, and the Nuggets and Raptors are bad too. Both teams have only 5 and 6 wins respectively.

Oh...and Krobb...I changed Willie and Thads roles; moving Green to a roleplayer role, and Thad to starting SF w/ Iggy to the 2.

Green's morale dipped into the 50's, and Thads didn't really change too much since he was already getting BIG minutes off the bench.

                KRobb...

This might seem crazy, but I was thinking maybe doing a 3 team trade between me, the Nuggets, and the Bobcats which would reunite Ivy w/ Larry Brown.

Since the Bobcats are doing so good in my association and the Nuggets are sucking really bad I was thinking that maybe adding Iverson to run point for Charlotte could cement them as a force in the East in my association.

I'd send Felton to Denver w/ whatever else Denver would need to make the deal go thru...Adam Morrisson perhaps? Somewhere in there I would trade Willie Green to one of the two teams...Maybe for Nene.

Question: Bout to start my Association and was wondering if anybody plays with CPU Trades on? I want to leave it on, but I'm not trying to see any outrageous trades in it(IE Steve Nash for Future Draft Picks and Wilson Chandler)

i left it on its not as bad as past years. i mean the only real questionable trade i saw was T.Prince to Andre miller but then i went to Assoc setting turn on trade override and undid that one. other than that its been pretty good.

oh my other bad one was when the celtics offered me big baby and a 1st for coby karl i didnt take it though so no big deal.

its pointless though imo Miller becomes a 2nd or 3rd string pg? and 76ers give up on thadeus young who they have high hopes for? yea i had to undo that one lol.

Jason Terry must be one disruptive dude because he has been traded 4 times in one year. He's have a great year stats wise (21ppg) though. Travis Outlaw has also been traded twice and is in the rumour mill to be traded again.

Played about 32 games in my association, and decided to simulate the majority of the remainder of the season. I ended up going 57-25 and getting the 1st seed in the Western Conference.

My first round opponent is against the Houston Rockets. I just played game 1 and won 86-64. I made the Rockets shoot 30% so I give my defense props.

For next season, I am still debating what I should do. I think I am going to pick up Steve Nash's option for one more season and after next season, I will let him go, along with Shaq and Raja Bell. I am trying to trade Boris Diaw. Hoping to get a 1st round pick for him, or 2 2nd round picks.

Will start Robin Lopez at C next year and have Shaq come off the bench. Try and trade up in the draft and land a back-up PF or SG.
