Yea...let me know if you get to 60 wins. Nice job!

    .................................................. .....................................

So to update you guys on my 76ers association...

The 5 gm winning streak I was riding, which had been stretched to 5 after beating Boston 94-74 at the Garden, was snapped in a road loss to Denver 113-110. It was at times real close, and I did have the lead for short stretches in the 2nd and 3rd. However, I could never extend it to pull away.

Billups finished w/ a double double (pts/ast), and he had the offense operating smoothly w/ Melo leading the game in scoring. Iggy was horrible from the field, but did go 8-10 from the stripe.

Denver, in my assoc., had one of the worst records prior to me trading doing the Iverson deal (sometime in early Dec.), but now they are playing really good and not far from .500. Could Billups really be a difference maker for this team...moreso than A.I.?

My lack of 2nd chance pts, and poor shooting is what did me in. Denver beat me in the rebound margin by like +11, and had 5 more offensive boards than I did that ALL went for a score. They also shot much better from beyond the arc, hitting 7 3's to my 3 3's.

For anyone interested I've created a Blog titled '76ers - NBA 2K9 Association - Rebuilding a Winner' in MY ARENA which will chronicle my 76ers association.

Check it out if you're interested...

    http://www.osatwork.com/JBH3/blog/

A move that I've been exploring, which I've also gone into detail about in my blog, is perhaps a 3 team deal between me, Indy, and a team yet to be determined.

The 'Yet to be Determined' team being one in need of a PG (Andre Miller), and the other peice of the deal being Samuel Dalembert.

I would look to pry Dunleavy and Nesterovic from Indy, sending Miller to the 3rd team involved, and Dalembert to Indy...I'd include a 2010 1st rounder and maybe Reggie Evans to make salaries match...

      Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

In my Rockets Association I am currently sitting at 3-1.
My first wins came against Memphis & Oklahoma City who are very young and still trying to find themselves.
My first lost came against Dallas. We went back and fourth trading baskets but because I was still learning my roster I recieved a free lesson on fatigue because we lost in the 4th qtr. Dirk was hitin'em from left to right, Inside-out!
The next game I played was against the defending champion, Boston Celtics.
We beat that A$$! Yao came away with 27 and T-Mac had 17.
I'm still tryin to figure out Artest. I don't understand how to execute his defense on this game. At times I even forget that he is on my squad and realize he gets most of his points from 2nd chance put backs.
Just like in real life, Landry & Brooks are comming together and making the Rockets Plan B look TIGHT.
Having lots of fun. Lookin forward to my match-up with Portland tonight!
I'll do a better job of keepin up with my statistics too.

Any questions or words of advice?

4-4 with the Pistons, 12 min Qrts, Pro, nogsters ros, futures sliders, bam.

I play every game and have been incredibly inconsistent so far, blown out by the Wiz i then beat the Celts, play appallingly in Atlanta i then scrape a win at Golden State.

Loving the challenge of it though and determined to reach the playoffs.

AI only averaging 18.9ppg so far but thats fine ive got him dishing, 7 apg, Rip is leading us with 23 ppg and Stuckey giving great energy off the bench with 12 ppg and 3 apg.

            Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Update with my Jazz: After winning nine games in a row, including the first fives games of December, I've dropped the last two games. Both of these games were at home, one to to the Blazers and one to the Magic. I had to sit Okur for one game due to a twisted ankle and AK-47 missed two games with a twisted ankle.

I've decided that I have wanted to trade Memo Okur. I rarely use him on offensive and feel that Kosta Koufos is a better defender. So, I'm trying to find a deal to move both him and Kyle Korver, whose shot I just can't figure out. I put Memo on the trading block and got offers for Samuel Dalembert and Jason Terry, neither of whom I'm interested in. Do you guys have any suggestions for a trade?

I would reconsider taking Sammy he can score and is a real good defender.

I am currently 14-28 with the Bulls in my first season. Playing with slightly tweaked sliders on All-Star. Getting killed on the boards almost every game, and cant seem to hit three's unless wide open. At least I can get a high draft pick this year, probably a legit center to go along with Rose, Hinrich, Deng, and slide Noah to power forward. Was thinking of dealing Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden in a package deal for someone, but I wanted to make it a realistic trade. Any ideas?

                  Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

Decided to restart my Bobcats Association and edit about 20 rookies so it will add some depth.

Simmed the 1st season and they went 13-16

MVP: Chris Bosh | 23.6 PPG, 9.9 RPG
                  ROY: O.J. Mayo
                  6th Man: Lamar Odom
                  Defensive: Josh Smith

The Miami Heat won the NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns 3-1 hahahaha

Contracts: I only wanted to sign Raymond Felton but he wouldn't, he wants to test free agency.

                  Lottery: #9 odds, #9 pick

Trade: #9 pick and Nazr Mohammed to OKC Thunder for #7 pick

                  Draft: #7 Pick
SG Demar DeRozan | USC | Straight beast

                  Free Agency:
Charlotte signs PF Channing Frye (76) to a 3-year deal worth $14.56M
                  Charlotte signs PG/SG Juan Dixon (76) to a 3-year deal worth $12.80M
Charlotte sings PF Nick Fazekas to a 2-year deal to fill out the roster!

                  Pre-season trade:
Charlotte trades their 2010 1st-round pick to Portland for PF Tyler Hansbrough (74)
*Portland has LaMarcus Aldridge and Carlos Boozer at PF...I hardly think this affects them. Oh and they signed Steve Nash again...wow.

                  2010 Charlotte Bobcats Lineup
                  PG- D.J. Augustin (80)
                  SG- Jason Richardon (85)
                  SF- Gerald Wallace (85)
                  PF- Channing Frye (76)
                  C- Emeka Okafor (86)
                  6th Man- SG/SF Demar DeRozan (75)

                  Backups:
                  PG- Juan Dixon (71)
                  SG- Matt Carroll (74)
                  PF- Tyler Hansbrough (74)
                  C- Alexis Ajinca (71)

I hate letting Felton go test the waters but he wanted $8M/year so I couldn't sign him. I'd much rather have Frye/Dixon than just Felton. He signed with the Pacers to be the backup to T.J. Ford...that's pretty stupid.

                      GET RED ASSOCIATION (FUBLU)
Well, I finally got to play last night.
My Rockets suffered a defeat to the Blazers last night. Brandon Roy seemed to have taken a page from what happened IRL.
                      The score was 73-90.
I went in thinking I was gonna blow them out but Greg Oden started the game out killin me from the inside.(Good Defesive Pressence) So I called myself puting that to an end when all of a sudden Aldridge went off! I was thinkin surly one of these guys gotta sit down and then we'll take over.
                      Ha!
In comes Frye. Their frontcourt never missed a beat! With their 3 man rotation frontcourt they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Brandon Roy finished the game as MVP with about 17pts. & 6asst. This dude threw about 2 alleys to Oden & Frye which pretty much killed the game for me. And to top things off, although the game didn't go into overtime, he hit that same shot that he threw up to win the game last week.
Artest is still not showin up for me! I don't undrstand!
Yao finished with 25pts and 4reb.
                      McGrady had like 18pts.
                      Artest finished with 10pts. 2steals and 4reb.

                      As for Portland
                      Oden 12pts. 14reb.
                      Aldridge 14pts 12rebs.
                      Frye 11pts. 8reb.
                      I enjoyed the game though!
My next game was against the Clippers....(At work,...I'll be back later)

                        76ers - NBA 2K9 Association - Rebuilding a Winner

After a tough road loss to Denver (113-100) we would have two days off, and play again in Utah on 12/29.

This was a much different gm than the one in Denver. The offense was executing, and the defense was outstanding! Thaddeus Young started the Sixers off w/ 9 quick points, finishing the 1st qtr having scored 11. Iggy and Brand would also contribute 6 a piece that qtr, and Philly got out to a 28-18 lead after the 1st qtr.

That would be it...Utah would try and cut it close in the 2nd, and was w/in 6 pts at one point. However, I would pull away to still maintain a 10 pt lead to finish the half.

In the 3rd Qtr Utah met their demise being outscored by 17 pts (31-14). By this time I had almost a 30 pt lead, and it was all over. The 4th qtr gave mop-up duty minutes to Chucky Atkins, Reggie Evans, Maresse Speights, Gelabale, and Kareem Rush.

                        Philly wins 114-78!

                        PHI 28 26 31 29 = 114
                        UTH 18 26 14 20 = 78

So what happened to Utah one might ask...Poor shooting, foul trouble, and probably Deron Williams' worst gm of his career all contributed to a blow out home loss for the Jazz.

Deron shot 4-24 from the field...AK-47 and Boozer both saw significant time on the bench getting into foul trouble early; each finished w/ 5 fouls.

For those interested more info about this game, and about my exploration of a 3 team trade involving: Philly, Indy, and MIL posted on my blog.

^ That's crazy! Utah had a simular bad game against Portland in my GET RED Association.
N-E-Way, just to speak a lil about what's going on with the rest of my Association, Indiana is the surprise team of the EAST. Dunleavy, not Granger, is leading the Pacers to an impressive 4-2 start! The Spurs are currently the #1 team out WEST with a 5-0 record.(Not lookin forward to meeting them during our western road trip.) In the EAST, Toronto is leading the way at 4-1.
Believe it or not, Denver is at the bottom of the totem pole due to Carmelo Anthony's absence (Injured Melo + no A.I.=0-7)
What's even F'ed up is Detroit is currently 1-6 with Allen Iverson! ???
                            Here are the current rankings
                            EAST: WEST:
                            1)Toronto 1) San Antonio
                            2)Washington 2) Sacramento
                            3)Chicago 3) New Orleans
                            4)Boston 4) LA Lakers
                            5)Indiana 5) Houston
                            6)Cleveland 6) Phoenix
                            7)Milwaukee 7) Golden State
                            8)Nets 8) Portland

I know it's too early to judge from this but my season seems to be REAL interesting already!
Sacremento has had an easy schedule. I'm sure they won't keep that 2 seed.

My Rockets beat the Clippers 83-76. Baron Davis came out leading his squad as expected. The one that got me unexpectantly was o'l Al Thorton. He is the future of this squad (lots of up-side to his game).
Another thing that came and bit me was that Camby started at center and Tim Thomas started at the 4. With that being said, Kamen came in off the bench and they never lost a beat on the inside.
We won this game with our defense. I decided to make them shoot the ball to win by playing 2-3 zone and alot of their shots did not fall in times of need. Even though Yao recieved player of the game, I feel as though if it were not for T-Mac, Houston would have recieved 2L's in a row.
McGrady did this one dunk in trafic that looked so awkward that I just knew that if he didn't make that dunk he would have been out 2-4 weeks with some kind of injury! (It was that sick)
McGrady seems to be coming into his own by hitting the 3's when we need them and finding the open man better than my PG's.
I have been draging Artest over to the 4 when either Scola or Yao leaves the floor. It has brought some pleasing results. Seeing McGrady & Artest work the pick & roll ain't that bad either.
I don't remember all the numbers but...
                                McGrady had 25pts. and 8ast.
                                Yao had 22pts and 4rebs. ???
We are currently 4-2 with Kobe and the Lakers waiting for us tomorrow night.
