I am now up to a 58-22 record and I only have two games left before the playoffs. If I want to finish the season with 60 wins, I have to win both of my remaining games, which are against Washington and Chicago. As a side note, I am 0-3 vs. Chicago this year.

So Chicago has given you some problems huh. What were the final scores in your 3 losses?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Remember that two game losing streak I was on the last time I updated my Utah Jazz association? Yeah, it got up to a four game losing streak, the longest of my season so far. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Nothing was working right. And the worst part? I was on a road trip! The Jazz play horrible on the road, just like in real life. The third lost was against Boston, who I expected to lose to. I kept it close most of the game, but they blew me out in the fourth. My next game, against the Nets, I was expected to win but again, it was back and forth all game until the fourth, when they blew me out.
Then...I went to Detriot. Going up against Allen Iverson, playing on the road, already on a four game losing streak, I fully expected to lose. Just like my last two games, it was back and fourth until the fourth quarter. We started the fourth with me up by two but, just like before, I quickly went down by 12. I had my bench in when I went down by 12, and put back in my starters to make one last run at the victory. And Deron Williams happened. Playing with five fouls for all of the fourth, Deron went off for 23 points in the quarter to send the game into over time. And he took over the OT too, scoring 12 more points to lead the Jazz to a 108-107 OT victory to snap the four game losing streak.
His final line for the game? 44 pts, 7 ast, 6 reb, 14-27 FG, 5-10 3PT (four in the fourth alone), and 11-15 FT. Best game of the season I've had with him so far.
I ended up trading Memo Okur and Kyle Korver for Marvin Williams, Arci Law, and Adam Morrison in a three-team trade. I then traded Marvin Williams and Andre Miller for Darko Milici. I'm happy with my team now and won't be making any moves the rest of the year.Comment

I'll have to go back and check, but I know that in one of those games against the Bulls, I was up by 20 points after three quarters, only for them to come back and win by 6 in overtime.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
I have decided to do something different this year I am gonna switch my team after every season to whichever team I feel I can win a championship with, my 1st team was the nuggets we got put out the playoffs 1st round by the clippers and for my second season I resigned my position and am at portland now and my record is 12-5 so far.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Well, I have failed in my quest to win 60 games, finishing with a 59-23 record, including an 0-4 mark against Chicago. To make matters worse, Chris Bosh got hurt in my game against the Wizards and is now out for at least the first round of the playoffs with a seperated shoulder. By the way, I'm playing Indiana in the first round of the playoffs.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, Chris Bosh won the MVP award and Sam Mitchell won the Coach of the Year award. Bosh was also named to the All NBA First TeamLast edited by leafsfan2008; 11-14-2008, 08:37 PM.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Hi
I don`t know why u traded Memo - he is a beastHe is great inside and outside, he can also play def (but Koufos is better). I also traded Korver - his jumphot is horrible. i traded him for T. Outlaw - and he is great! His PPG avg from my 2nd playoff round vs Clippers (they beat Lakers 4:2
) was more than 20 ppg in 20 mpg (Brewer was injured).
Now I playing vs Rockets in Conference Finals - I lead 1:0. I want to win Championship - maybe then Booz stay in my team, cause he is still undecidedComment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
With 4 games left in the season in my association, my Nets are currently 54-24. Brook Lopez just won Rookie of the Month in which i think he averaged a double-double. The bad thing though, is that Devin Harris and Yi Jianlian are out for 1-3 weeks.
When playoff time comes(i've clinched a spot), i might put the diffiiculty at HOF(currently on superstar). It looks like though i'm gonna face the Celtics(8th Seed) in the first round. Wish me luck! LolComment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
After a month of editing, tweaking, and testing I finally started my Grizz Association.
The first think I did was make a trade with the Lakers. I traded Jaric, Lowery and a Second, for Sasha, and Mihm.
Opening night vs. the Rockets. In my Association Yao, T-Mac, Battier are all healthy, so they figure to be a title contender. I open the game on a 8-0 run with Mayo splashing a couple of J's with T-Mac struggling to get through screens.
Then the wheels fall off.
McGrady draws 2 early fouls on Mayo and he's on the bench for the last 7 minutes of the first quarter. Yao and Scola are too tough for Gasol and Arthur on the block and the quarter ends tied at 26.
Mayo returns a couple of minutes into the 2nd quarter and I foolishly try to take a charge on T-Mac in the open court. Foul # 3, to the bench for the rest of the half, Warm up the Bus, GAME OVER.
They outscore me 27-10 in the second and I'm never closer than 9 for the rest of the game. Rockets have 5 in double figures. led by Yao's double-double. I got killed on the glass 41-29 giving up 15 offensive rebounds and 23 second chance points.
Mayo scores 27 for the game, 23 in the second half, but much of those points come in garbage time while he's being checked by Brent Barry.
I fell 103-87. Its good to play a contender right out of the gate so that I can see where I'm really at from the start.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
I split the first two games of my playoff series against Indiana, with the Pacers winning Game 1 and me winning Game 2. So the series is now tied at 1-1 as we head to Indiana for Games 3 and 4.Comment

Despite being held to 10 points in the opening quarter, the Raptors figured out a way to pull out a come from behind win in Game 3 of their playoff series with Indiana and are now up 2-1 in the series.Comment

Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS
Lost the first three games of the season. Traded Al Harrington and Marcus Williams to the Grizzlies for Hakim Warrick. Waived Anthony Morrow. Won the next 10. Lost Corey Maggette (4-6 weeks) and Monta Ellis (2-4 weeks) to injury in the same game and the same quarter on the same layup animation. I've gone 1-9 since, with the only win coming against the Knicks. And I just lost Andris Biedrins for about 4-6 weeks with a separated shoulder in my last game - a loss to the Rockets.
So my team currently looks like this:
PG - CJ Watson
SG - Kelenna Azubuike
SF - Stephen Jackson
PF - Hakim Warrick
C - Ronny Turiaf
6Anthony Randolph
7Brandan Wright
8Marco Bellinelli
9Richard Hendirx
*Monta Ellis (Severe Ankle Sprain, 1-2 weeks)
*Corey Maggette (Severe Ankle Sprain, 2-4 weeks)
*Andris Biedrins (Separated Shoulder, 4-6 weeks)

I'm on a nine game winning streak and LeBron just scored his first triple double against the lakers.
I traded Gibson to the Rockets for a 1st rd pick & Martell Webster.
Williams is injured w/ an high ankle sprain.
D. West sucks.
LeBron has an hip injury.
The rookie from NC is a beast he had 20 rebounds against the lakers.Comment
