    Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

I just can't decide to do this trade or not.

So I'm the Cavs and Daniel Gibson has 5 years and 21 mil on his contract. Through 13 games he is averaging 6ppg on 42%, 37% from 3 on 15 minutes.

The Suns just offered me Grant Hill AND Matt Barnes for him, both on 1 year contracts totaling a little over 3 million. Barnes is doing 4ppg 39%/29% on 11 minutes and Hill is doing 9ppg on 48/35 and 27mpg.

My initial reaction was YES because of the contracts, but thinking about a potential logjam at SF (even though I play Wally at the 2 usually) had me leaning to No. I also don't think it's a very realistic trade for a guy like Robert Sarver to OK in the first place. But then I start thinking about the contracts, and Hill's better shooting overall, and wonder....but then I think about the chemistry...but then I think about having a better offense and taller team...

I wouldn't do it. Grant Hill is useless for me and Barnes is okay. Daniel Gibson is a beast from 3 and mid range though. I score around 15 per game with him

After winning Game 4, the Raptors took a commanding 3-1 lead in their series against the Pacers and had a chance to win the series at home. However, the Pacers refused to give up, handily winning Game 5 to cut Toronto's lead to 3-2. So now, it's off to Indiana for Game 6. Can the Raptors put Indiana away or will the Pacers force a Game 7 back in Toronto? Stay tuned to find out.

The Raptors and Pacers needed overtime to settle things in Game 6, but the Raptors eventually prevailed by 12 in the extra period to win the series 4 games to 2. The series win by Toronto was enough for them to give Sam Mitchell a four year contract extension. Toronto will now face the Orlando Magic in the second round of the playoffs.

Just started yesterday with the Thunder, 3 games in. Dropped the first 2 games against the Bucks, and the Rockets. I did however, get a W against Minnesota.

Against the Bucks, it was incredibly close all the way through. We traded a 1 point lead through most of the game, and in the fourth they pulled away by 3 and won 104-107.

The Rockets straight blew me out. I started off pretty solid, and kept McGrady and Yao in check. Then the third quarter came, McGrady and Yao just took over, until the final buzzer. I lost by over 20 points.

The Timberwolves were complete garbage. I started the game with a 12-2 run, and just kept at minimum a 12 point lead through the game. At points I was up by 28 and they could not get a large run going. I ended up winning by 18.

My record is at 18-13 with the Blazers. Oden almost had a triple-double in my last game: 22 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assist.

He also leads all rookies in blocks per game.

Since making that comment I went on a 4 game loosing streak.
My boys are gonna have to sit down and have a team meeting or somethin. Although we have lost to top tier teams and were on a West coast road trip, we are undefeated at home so far. We got New Orleans next and it ain't lookin so good.
I loose by 10 or so every game. When my starters sit is when I loose which tells me I have no bench and/or I still have not fully converted from Arcadish A$$ NBA Live!
Artest got hurt against Phoenix when STAT fell on his foot and twisted his ankle.(He is day-to-day)
My last game was against San Antonio and they are still undefeated at 8-0. We lost 84-72 thanks to Manu and Bowen's 3pt. shooting.

But yet, I still say this is by far one of the best REAL Basketball sim I have ever played. Enjoying every bit of it!

I'm 2-6 with the Wizards. Arenas and Butler are my top scorers with Jamison right behind. Young is coming off the bench and puts up some good numbers.

I'm thinking of making a move but want it to be somewhat realistic. May first choice is to go after Brendon Wright from Golden State. Hopefully I cann turn him into a beast down low for years to come. What do you guys think and who should I offer?

If I was looking to trade Boobie I would've taken that deal. Barnes can play SG/SF/PF, both have expiring contracts, and Grant Hill still can ball in 2K.

All Daniel Gibson is good for is his 3pt shooting. His defense isn't anything to write home about either.

Matt Barnes is an athlete w/ an above avg. 3 himself who is not a liability on defense.

35 games into my Blazers association, my second player off the bench, Rudy Fernandez tore his achillies and is out for the rest of the season.

                      I wanted to cry.

20-15 is my record after 2 straight losses to the Lakers and Pistons.

I now lead my series with Orlando two games to none after two close wins in both games. As well, Chris Bosh has completely recovered from his shoulder injury and will re-join the team in Game 3 of the series.

                          Re: ASSOCIATION PROGRESS

The Grizz get off the snide.

I head into Sac Town 0-4, coming off a heart breaking lost to the Warriors 107-105 where Jackson blocked Mayo's game winning 3 attempt and Gay missed a 20 footer to tie at the buzzer on the rebound off that block.

Brad Miller is out, so I'm hoping to be able to establish some offense down low for a change. Facing Yao and Howard in the first two games have shaken the confidence of my Bigs.

They start the game on a 9-0 run, and I'm thinking, "Things look bad for our heroes", but I right the ship and get even at 23 to end the first.

As expected I'm able to get some things going down low against Hawes, Moore, and Thomson. I lead by 12 at the half. Martin and Salmons are keeping them in striking range.

Ironically just before the game the Kings responded to my Trade block offer for Antoine Walker. They offered Kenny Thomas. He has a bad contract too, but he's a banger who can come in and foul the Duncan's and the Pau Gasol's of the world. Toine was on the reserve list for me, but the Kings put him in the rotation. He played like crap, and was somethink like -10 on the plus/minus scale when he was in the game.

The third quarter starts and I play crappy like I do every third quarter, and the lead is cut to 4. I have Mayo in Martin's jersey so he has to put the ball on the deck and attack the rim. He get fouled hard and crumples to the floor and is carried off by his teammates. Garcia shoots the free throws for him so I know he's out for the game. If I cant get a win here, then I might go 0-82.

Long story still long, but slightly shorter, I get the win 95-87, Gasol goes for 14-13, Warrick 21-10, offsetting 6-19, and 6-15 nights by Mayo and Gay. Luckily the Kings went 19-29 from the foul line or I still might be looking for that elusive first win. Martin is out 2 weeks with a strained Achilles.

The rematch with G-State is next.

Wow....nice move there (i won't spoil it since u want peeps to check out your blog :wink .......but i have to be concerned how the main player in that trade will play with Iggy. I would also be worried about your bigs....you are putting alot of stock into the aging Theo Ratliff aren't you....should be interesting.

I guess I willl share my major move....although, to be quite honest, I am starting to catch the college basketball fever and I am starting to get back into my CH 2k8 legacy (maybe even check out NCAA 09 college basketball)......but I did make a few MAJOR moves to my Sixers:

Traded Willie Green, Samuel Dalembert to the BULLS

                              For

                              Kirk Hinrich and Joakim Noah.

Doing this, I had to move Ander Miller the next day.....He was involved in a 3 team deal including Memphis and Denver....

                              Sixers get:
                              - Hakim Warrick (from Mem)
                              - Linas Kleiza (from Den)

                              Denver gets:
                              - Andre Miller (from PHI)
                              - Donyell Marshall (from PHI)
                              - 1st rd draft pick 2009 (from PHI)

                              Memphis gets:
                              -Nene (from Den)

So far I am 1-4 after this deal (10-14 overall). I have to get my team chemistry up because it took a significant drop to 27% since i made the deal . Warrick is the one who could be a problem since he does not like coming off the bench for me.

This gives me a deep squad, but chemistry is definitely an issue right now. Hinrich is not that far of a drop off defensively from Andre Miller. Although Hinrich's contract is pretty hefty, i can see myself sticking with him over the years more than Andre or Dalembert. Plus, he gives us that outside threat that we have been missing. Kleiza is a really nice pick up for me as well.

I can't seem to get Warrick involved and he does seem alittle out of place on this team (this could be a problem)...plus he is getting more upset about playing time with each passing night.

We'll see how it goes, I am not sure when i will get back into this game however....like i said, I am much more a fan of college basketball and starting to get that itch....almost forgot how much fun CH 2k8 legacy is!

combined record through 3 seasons is a lowly 9-58.
                                4-25 my first season
                                5-24 my second season
                                0-09 currently.

I dont know what it is with this game. I play on pro level and its the PC version. I finally decided that I may start a new association. I said that half way through my second season, but I always feel I can turn things around.

I did thw whole fantasy draft thing with the Hawks
                                my rosetr currently consists of

                                pg-Crirttenton
sg-Ray Allen- who went from a good player in my first season to total scrub by the thrid season
                                sf-Richard Jefferson
                                pf-Wilcox-has improved every season
                                c-Hibert-whos improved but lacks consistency

                                bench
Battier, George, Obryant, Turiaf, Delonte West, a PF and SG I drafted the past 2 seasons.

not a great team but I went into this thing thinking Id improve to the point wher Id make the playoffs. signing the cream of the crop free agents is tough task, because the salaries they command would put me above the salary cap. and I try to stay within the salary cap.

Kudos to 2k for not making this game a cake walk, at least the PC version, but damn Id like to at least win.
