Dude don't come in here attacking me telling me what I do and don't understand and what I did and didn't learn, you don't know me from Adam so chill out young fella. It's not just me that is saying there this is an issue with laser beam passes to the paint (especially by below average players). I'm not going to keep defending myself on this issue especially to people who come at me like this. You can disagree with me if you want to, that's fine, but there's no need to insinuate that my learning and comprehension ability is remedial.

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Two Things Need To Be In It!
So far (just got the game 2 days ago)
- the 2k and drive cameras extreme lag until they reach half court. Kills fastbreak!
- when imbounding on the side line, the inbounder warps to the center of the court.
- Oh and like in the demo... where are the 3 sec calls?Last edited by Starrtech; 10-15-2008, 10:33 PM.Lol, people get enjoyment from their game in different ways. Why they enjoy one thing over another is not really important. --trobinson97Comment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Two Things Need To Be In It!
So let me get this straight.......
Because I didn't get there to stop a Ghost Layup from getting off the ground, if I get there in the air to stop a Ghost Layup from going in the basket.....and there is no contact or reaction to the ball, my player just floats out of that floating layup'ers way......
That is my fault for not stopping it sooner, even though I stopped it later? You're basically arguing for defense in the air being unnecessary because you shouldn't ever allow an opponent in the air in the first place? LOL I'm going to call this rule in a pick-up game sometime:
"No going in the air to block a layup! You should of stopped them earlier!"Comment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Things Need To Be In It!
Where was I attacking you? I was trying to help you out. Where in that thread did I say your learning comprehension was remedial? I think you need to chill..... I'm 35 btw and was just trying to help you out. Wow is all I have to say. Have you ever said something on the internet and gotten a completely different response than how you meant it? I have... The thing is I know exactly what you are saying and I thought the same thing at first, but then I learned how to play the game. It has nothing to do with being remedial. The learning curve in this game is just tough.Comment

PS3: Invite your friends to an online match. On 360 it's possible through XBL, but not for PS3.Comment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Things Need To Be In It!
I don't know if this occurs on Quick Games also, but when playing an Association game (9 mins for me), CPU teams will only sub out players if their players are about to collapse or if they are in foul trouble....I have subs set to rotation alsoComment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Things Need To Be In It!
The way you are saying it now is completely fine and I have no issues with that at all. It's fine if you disagree with me. But saying "He doesn't understand what you are saying because he hasn't taken the time to learn how to play defense" comes off like I'm stupid and can't comprehend or like I'm just complaining without having tried to play good defense. If you didn't mean it like that then that's cool and I have no beef with you....Last edited by Walker8; 10-15-2008, 08:45 PM.Comment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Things Need To Be In It!
I just can't take it anymore 2K. If you guys decide to patch this game, then by God can you please fix; A.) "The Ghost Layup" (the one where the player takes off from the free throw line and glides straight through defenders unscathed (said defenders are trying to take his head off BTW), and; B.) The cheap points by the CPU that come from "laser beam passes" to players cutting in the paint. I am playing with Rashidi's roster edits AND heavily tweaked sliders and yet I still can't combat these two issues. It's almost to the point where I can't play this game anymore because of all the cheap and unstoppable points the CPU gets off of this junk. If you are listening 2K, please either kill the "Ghost Layup" animation altogether, or AT LEAST make it so that we can foul the guy and make him earn his points at the line, and TONE DOWN the laser beam passes to the paint. Even some of the great players (e.g. Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, etc.) spam this play entirely too much....Comment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Things Need To Be In It!
Free throws need to be fixed.
Offline, the first free throw's release point is always a split second before the actual release, and the second free throw's release point is a split second after. Not bad after you get used to it but kind of annoying nonetheless.
Online, needs the same free throw patch that was done to 2k8 last year. Same deal, first free throw is ridiculously lagged.Comment

Re: If There Is A Patch For NBA 2K9, Then These Things Need To Be In It!
-On-the-fly substitution defaults to "on the floor" everytime you bring it up. For example, I call in Brent Barry, and he walks to the scorer's table. Later on, Brent still hasn't gotten a chance to check in, I call in Carl Landry to check in. As I call in Landry, Brent goes back to the bench. Please fix this
-And of course the first freethrow framerate, as well as highlights and transitions between quartersComment
