Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr
I tried these sliders against the Heat and got roughly the same result, but players didn't run off screens nearly as much as Boston did, but that's beside the point.
There were mid range jumpers taken, but every time a player dribbled, it led to that player shooting inside. Again, no jumpers off the dribble from anyone.
I don't wanna lower the Attack Basket slider unless people really think I should. I was gonna leave it as is and lower Close tendency-- screen rolls will be useless for the CPU if I lower Attack Basket because they won't attack off the screen. They'll kind of just lazily use the screen and not really go nowhere.
I'll post videos later to show you guys what I mean. Any suggestion for more jumpers off dribble are welcome.Comment

Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr
Depends, I've been testing and I played Mavs vs Bulls last night. \
Since this thread was created, I've been using the coaching sliders (close, mid, 3's, attack basket) maxed. Well for this game I wanted to see if I lowered it some would I see a difference in gameplay.
I used mid and 3's at 100 and lowered the other 2, close and attack basket to 50 and 35, respectively.
Long story short, the CPU didn't really take close shots also the mid range game and shot chart was sweet.
Still testing...Comment

He isn´t killing the thread... the thread was killed when it was given the name "I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem..." etc... and then, 20 pages later, NOTHING is fixed!
I just wish somebody do what i did... Neon´s Rosters, Hoosiers Sliders as a base, then modified to your liking after testing, ALL-STAR difficulty and 11 min. quarters!
THAT´s IT!! No secret at all! I have my game playing PERFECTLY! 54 games into my season i have YET to have a game in wich something disgusts me as it would before. Stats and Gameplay perfect! And i mean PERFECT!!!
Now, when people create threads with the name like this one and nothing´s solved... people get frustrated, that´s it!Comment

Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr
I'll try editing the Coach Sliders and the Global Sliders, as well as individual tendencies when I get back to playin later on tonight
EDIT: Also, I gave them Detroit's playbook, and they kept running this play where Chalmers uses a high screen at the top of the key, and then if the screener isn't open or if Chalmers himself isn't open, he just holds the ball at the elbow for like 10 seconds after the screen and dishes to Wade. By then, the shot clock is down to 5 or 6 and Wade has to dribble around and chuck a three-pointer.
Do all Playbooks have stagnant plays like that or is it just a few? I know that if I raise Chalmers' Attack Basket slider, he'll be more aggressive using the screen and it probably will make the play not be stagnant, but I'm just wondering.Last edited by RayAP19; 04-20-2009, 12:24 PM.Comment

You spend way too much time with this game dude... Good luck finding sliders to match your skill set.I'll try editing the Coach Sliders and the Global Sliders, as well as individual tendencies when I get back to playin later on tonight

Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr
Maybe people should start creating sliders from a cpu vs cpu stand point... Getting the most realistic gameplay possible that way, THEN each person can change things to there liking. At this rate we will never solve the gameplay issues. Not only that, then you'd only have to post one set of sliders instead of having so many different kinds.Comment

I'm curious as to how this works if you make the run plays slider real low. Would that lead to less predictability and more catch and shoot opportunities for the CPU?[NYK|DAL|VT]

I just played the Heat with a lower Run Plays slider (set it to 20), and the CPU offense was a lot less predictable and dynamic. I'd recommend probably 50 for the max Run Plays valueComment

Re: I Have Completely Fixed Every Problem With CPU Play/Assoc Stats/PITP/Shots Off Dr
I made one change besides the originals stated in this thread (100's on coaching sliders, slight slider adjustments), which is to set playbooks to generic. It allows players to play to their attributes without trying to force things.
I was getting GREAT results, but in a 5 game series between Boston and Cleveland, Ilgauskas averaged over 20 shots per game. I tried the generic playbook idea and it has worked with every team I've tried. Kobe and Lebron get 30+, but teams that have multiple stars like San Antonio and Boston have their 3 main players lead the way unless they are having off nights. I will post some stats, if you guys are interested, as I get some more games done. All games so far are CPU vs. CPU.
I think the "scripting" we see in the game comes from the way the playbooks are coded.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

I think Run Plays slider high is the best setting IF you find the right playbooks for teams. I only use about 6 or 7 playbooks now for all 30 teams.-Rocky Balboa"Maybe I can't win.
