now id like to see if they fixed the play calling execution..meaning no more walking to there spot to set up a play but upon reading that double teams are no long canimated gives me hope that play execution is fixed...
The fact that he mentioned that he didn't think they had very much chemistry last year but it's different in 2k10 makes me hopeful that the commentary is much better. It's about time the NBA game had good commentary.

So I think they can still run around "foolishly", but they will pay for it when they see that Gatorade cup pop up in the first quarter and the rest of the game.

Guess I'm in the minority because I liked 2k9's commentary. I don't get annoyed as easily as some of you guys though.

I liked all the player specific stuff that they had but there was to much of the same generic disjointed lines that were repeated over and over again.

Yea I agree there was some generic stuff and some repeating stuff, but the energy was there for the most part. I felt 2k9's commentary was more into the game than Live's commentary, even though overall live's commentary was better, I still liked 2k9's more. It sounds like it's going to be great this year. I can't wait to play both games.

But D-League will be a great addition to the My Player mode, it'd be fun to play in the D-League for a year and then get called up onto an NBA roster. It'd be fun to go from the bottom to the top in the game.

If it's in Association mode as well (it better be), then it'd add a whole new dimension to the game. Not only would you have to scout all the rookie prospects, but you could also scout and follow the D-League players to try and find the next Jamario Moon. And this would hopefully give you a way to develop your young players who don't get any playing time. I'm hoping that you'll be able to play the D-League games in your Association. D-League will be a huge addition as long as it's done right.
(Example, say your the Celtics and have Giddens on a D-League team, I'd want to play Giddens games as well as my Celtics games)
Hell yeah! If you can use D-league teams in play now, I'm gonna gloat to my dad about how I can serve his **** with D-Leaguers while he uses NBA pros.

One of the bigger things I noticed as well, it irked me to no end how much double-teaming people could get away with because of this. I'm also interested in the 82games.com thing as well, like DC I totally hated the subjective rating system, seemed like the name of the game last year was complain to the 2K Insider enough until he raised the attributes of your fav player.

Also like Stumbleweed said they gotta do much better with the Team Up functionality, that was a joke. I was so excited when they announced that feature, and it was nothing but disconnect after disconnect, even when we had a lobby full of excellent connections.

Info looks good so far, but I guess we'll see when the gameplay vids come out.

I'm like you. I never got the argument that K9's commentary was as bad as some here made it out to be. Now, K8's was so bad that it was distracting to me and I had to turn it off. But thought they rebounded nicely with 2K9 although it still needed improvement. The way VC implemented commentary in MLB2K9 is VERY dynamic though, so maybe they're shooting for something similar in NBAk10 - although baseball and basketball are paced differently.

I can't wait to see the game in motion. I played a game last night and it's easy to see the graphical improvements versus the pics shown yesterday - although I don't like to put much stock into still shots. I'm really excited to see how they expand on signature style anims and distinguishing the players even more
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Truly, the way some folks react to what is the very first set of comments about NBA2k10 really is mindblowing. I used to think people were overreacting when they read a review or played a demo and decided to hate a game, but now it happens when the first piece of news drops.

                          Crazy...

Look, the first bit of news isn't going to about x, y or z being fixed. They want to catch the attention of the mass market that makes this game profitable to make in the first place and they won't do that by saying "the players will no longer slide from one spot to another momentarily". That wouldn't grab my attention in the slightest.

The first screenshots always look bad by the 2K series, but I'm sure they'll get much better. I'm also really liking what I'm seeing so far with the game. The Thanksgiving decal was awesome. Glad to hear there will be great commentary this year and better spacing.

Actually from what I am reading is the RATINGS will still be done by 2K Insider and the tendencies will be done by 82games.

I wonder if the tendencies will be updated automatically or does the Insider have to go look at 82games and then input the data
                              Concrete evidence/videos please

I really don't like the fact that guards like Jameer Nelson, CP3, and Tony Parker will miss a bunch of easy layups inside simply because they were contested by a big man.

Assuming the court spacing helps, it should clear that up a bit.

It's something that worries me because I felt small quick guards were largely ineffective going inside and were blocked left and right on any layup attempt. This made the game much more superstar/big man heavy instead of running a team point guard style.
Big lanky players like Ilgauskas SHOULD make those players miss shots when they meet them in decent position at the rim.

Read that again. WHEN THEY MEET THEM IN DECENT POSITION AT THE RIM. Of course, these guys are gonna be slower, whilst Parker is blazing fast(And Jameer is in comparison to them) and don't really have a lot of savvy on the defensive end so they shouldn't always make the right decisions and should arrive late some of the time.

Defense is ALL about positioning. You stay in front of your man, funnel him into help that's between him and the basket, and get a hand in his face.

In short, Ron Artest shouldn't drop a players % of making a shot any more than JJ Redick would because his Defensive Awareness is higher. Ron Artest should drop the % of a made shot because he is a better defender because he knows the assignments he needs to pick up, where he needs to/should be, is much stronger and quicker laterally, is taller and longer, establishes good position in regards to the offensive player, and has a willingness to contest shots.

A hand in the face is a hand in the face, no matter who's it is.

I really, really hope they nailed this aspect of it.
