The first thing I do with ANY sports game is...

Go to the "edit player" screen / rosters and take a look at the player models, what we can edit, sig shots, etc...I absolutely LOVE that part of a video game.

My favorite part of ANY sports game is being able to "customize" my player to "look" as close as to its real counterpart throughout the course of a given season!!!

First thing I will do is check out Create-A-Player mode, Create myself, and then sign myself to the Miami Heat Like I do every year haha.

Playing a game Wolves @ Mavs to check out how Dirk looks and play and to see how my favourite rookie Jonny Flynn actually performs in 2k10.

Afterwards...Check out MyPlayer

Then...hopefully being in 2k-heaven!

Kick everyone out of the room. Play an exhibition with my Thunder and see if Durant's shot is correct...then start up my player.

I always do pretty much the same three things every year.

1. Go into practice mode with the Celtics to check out sig shots, get used to some of the new controls, etc.

2. Play an exhibition game or two. I'll probably go Celtics/Magic to start, then I'll use other teams to check everyone out.

3. Take a look at the rosters and make sure they are all up-to-date, check out the player ratings and tinker with a couple if I feel that they're outlandish, make sure all of the player jersey numbers and contracts are correct, etc. I need to make sure everything is right, especially before I begin my Association.



Yeah, I'd have to say that this is the only thing that has somewhat worried me about the game. What if I want to post from a certain area and it doesn't automatically do it for me? What if I want to catch the ball on the block and go right into a face-up/drive? I know Chase said that you can press a button (forget which off the top of the head) to get back out of the post-up stance, but in basketball you need to make quick moves to get to where you want to go before the defense can recognize/block off a hole.

But this is something that none of us can judge before we play around with it ourselves. I'm sure 2k wouldn't put this in the game if it wrecked the post/face-up game.
