I kinda feel like i was looking into it too much. lol what sucks is the adjustment that people are going to have to make when they are only playing a few minutes in training camp, instead of their dominant combine.

    It's like

Player - yeah man i was killing the combine with 30 a game son!
    Friend - on word?!? damn that's what's up B!

    Training Camp Begins

Friend - Yo sorry i couldn't catch your training camp game, how much did you put up?

Player - .......Man i only got 5 points
Friend - Damn so you must have killed it on assists! let me guess you had like 12 assists and like 7 boards with 3 steals?

Player - Naw man i only played 5 minutes
Friend - oh...ok. I gotta go though, I'll catch up with you later

    WEEK LATER

Friend - Yo did you see your homeboy curry put up 35 the other day?
Player - yeah i watched all of it from the bench

Friend - oh my bad son, you'll get there.
Don't think it's really kill time, the people that are playing Combine get a head start.

But yeah, I'm guessing it's going to be a lot harder. My guy is Center projected to go to the Hawks.

What's going to happen when I got to get in for 9 mins a game and play against Dwight, Yao, Duncan...guy is probably going to get killed.

I have a lot of faith that the offline mode will do well, i don't know about Online...since exploiters are always finding ways to ruin it for everyone.

EDIT: Man these crazy spg numbers are starting to worry me. Are you guys playing the lane? You guys just playing solid D and the opponent just can't handle?

i agree. people online tend to ruin it one way or the other.

And to the dude with the other stats. Holy ****, you are damn near averaging a triple double. lol that's crazy. that means you are pretty much involved in every single play.

Man there must be some trick. I can't get near those type of stats with my SF. Some of the stats I've seen are plain ridiculous.

Granted I may suck, but over 10 steals a game?
        Dudes rated 55?

Dont know what to laugh at more, the stats, or the fact you are still projected for the second round. What do you have to average to go first round? 2K wasn't kidding when they said that they made it hard, you'd probably have to average a quadruple double lol.

        Must be some trick.

Didn't want to cheese or amass a million points...probably a lot more enjoyable this way.

All-Around SG OVR 42 Projected to go Rnd2 Pick21 to Spurs

              15.5 PPG
              5 RPG
              3.5 APG
              .8 SPG
              2 TOPG
              51.8% FG
              46.1% 3pt

Had a lot of fun doing it, there were only like 3 players on my team that would contribute and I really only took the shots that I worked for either in getting open to take a jumper or a nice pump fake and drive...loving it

I do pretty well, but not that well.

                    SG/Slasher 6'5
                    PPG-30.7
                    ORPG-.7
                    RPG-2.0
                    AST-3.0
                    SPG-1.3
                    BPG-.3
                    TOPG-1.3
                    FG%-.664
                    3PT%-.769 10/13
                    FT-.888
                    Overall-A+
                    Offense-A+
                    Defense-A

                    The Good-Shot Selection, Assists, Rebounding
The Bad- Bad Positioning, Bad Pass.
Lacking Effort- Successful Double Team, On Ball Screens

Best I could muster. And still only going 2nd Round Pick 13 to the Lakers. Which sucks, because playing behind Kobe my rookie year i s just terrible...on a good note though, I do get a chance at a championship early on.

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

As far as what the SG are doing, it's just, well I get quite a few fast break points. That's why you see my rebounding suffer. I suspect I won't be able to do this with 75 SPD when I'm playing against the NBA players. Since someone will catch me until I Raise it up. And another thing is the guys have terrible defense. I get a one-on-one matchup and I blow right past the SG for a easy lay-up or dunk. They also play very loose D. I'm money if I have any space on the 3 or on the court since I raised my shot consistency so much. They leave us open alot. I problem I don't know if it will clear up or not. I just hope the D plays tighter. Even though it makes sense for the loose D sometimes when I drive to the lane so much.

Really though a good amount of my points come from FT's and fast breaks. Transition buckets. I'm just faster then the D is, allow me to score easily. And with a 80 pro style layup skill it just about slides in all the time with the low contest abilities of the D. So I don't know. It's just easy. The only thing that prevents me from putting up 50 is the fact I don't call for the ball. Hell I get close even without that. The thing that killed my average was the first and second game where I only managed to put up 20 pts. The others I had nearly 40pts.

I think it'll smooth out when the real game drops. And online it'll be even smoother because no way in hell is a SG online scoring 15 pts on me let alone 30 or 40. I never allowed that many points ever last year and they say the defense was bad. So no way. And I don't think NBA guys will let me off that easy. Defensive Awareness will just be so much higher.

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

athletic/slasher type players seem to be easiest to play with in the combine, guess you might be up for a rude awakening once the level of athleticism rises in summer league, camp and the NBA.

personally i´ve been playing with a 7´2 Center (all arround) and have :

                        PPG : 15
                        ORPG-3.3
                        RPG-11.5
                        AST-1.8
                        SPG-1.0
                        BPG-2.0
                        TOPG-3.2
                        FG%-.59
                        FT- 11-15

                        Grades : A-,B,A,A-,C-,A+

team won 5 games, lost 1 in OT.

Highlight game was the 6th with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 Blocks.

where did you guys find the average teammate grades for off and def ? In game analysis it only shows them for each specific game.

Now those are some realistic stats for a player with low ratings. These other guys are just trying to cheese and mashing the steal button.

Is it his fault the A.I. sucks? I must say the Athletic build for a guard is probably the best in the combine, but will be totally useless in 2k10.
