Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

    My athletic SF:

15.2 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 4.2 APG, 0 SPG(exploiting the behind steal isnt kocur nor fun), 0.8 BPG, 52% FG, 73% FT

My back to the basket PF:

    12.2 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 2 APG, .3 SPG, 1.2 BPG, 46% FG, 43% FT

    My defensive center:

    10.5 PPG, 14.4 RPG, 2.3 BPG, 0.8 APG, 43% FG, 50% FT

I'm having a blast trying out each of the positions. Next I'm probably going to create a scoring SG as I havent made anyone yet that can shoot from the perimeter so I'm going to test the pullup game and such. Then I'm going to create a pass first PG and test out the new isomotion.

The only things I dont like is the lack of player control on defence which has been discussed in length, and how the game doesnt recognize good positioning just because youre not on the perimeter as a SF or in the paint if youre a PF. If youre trying to space the floor for your teammate who is posting up sometimes you have to stay on the perimeter, or if you have a small guy on you as an athletic SF you have to take him to the box and punish him. That part is sort of skewed but its obviously really hard to go that in depth with the grades.

And in terms of defence, it should be judged by who youre guarding at the time and not your position by itself, because obviously its basketball and youre going to have switches and have to help your teammates so you shouldnt be punished for your sf scoring when youre not even the one guarding him at the time.

        Lmao! Classic...
I agree, though I never play on line. I'm a decent player, but even if I TRIED to exploit all that I could in the game there is no way I could average 60pts (Tugay Cox) per game. I don't even think my team averages 60.

There should be two players stats threads. One for straight players, and one for exploiters.

I'm a 6'5 200lb athletic SG, I just want to unlock cool dunks for the shootaround right now

                Game 1:
                10pts, 6 assists, 5/13fgs, 39%, 6turnovers
                B Overall, B+ Offense, C- Defense
Good: 7 Good Shots, 6 Assists, 2 Good Shot Defense
Bad: Man Scored 8 times, 6 bad passes, two turnovers

                Game 2:
                22pts, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 11/17 65% 3turnovers
                A Overall, A Offense C- Defense
Good: 12 good shots, 4 assists, 2 defensive rebounds
Bad: Man scored 6 times, 3 bad passes, held the ball too long once

                Game 3:
                25pts, 3assists, 1steal, 11/19 58% 2 turnovers
                A Overall, A Offense C Defense
Good: 10 good shots, 3 assists, 2 good shot defenses
Bad: Man scored 5 times, 3 bad passes, held the ball too long once

My defense needs to step it up, lol.

                Game 4:
                25pts, 5 assists, 2 steals 11/23 48% 3 turnovers
                B Overall B Offense C Defense
                Good: 5 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals
Bad: 3 bad shots, Man scored 4 times, 3 bad passes

This game was close. Both those steals came in the final 1:30, as did a clutch layup with 12 seconds left to send the game into overtime, where we won by 5.

                Game 5:
                37pts, 2 assists, 1 steal 17/23 74% 2 turnovers
                A+ Overall A+ Offense C+ Defense
Good: 18 good shots, 2 assists, 1 rebound
Bad: Held ball too long twice, 2 bad passes, 1 turnover

My guy is really starting to beast, we won our last game by 27. I had three dunks that weren't fast breaks and countless layups off pro hops and penetration. I think I've already found my player for my player, even if he's only a 42.

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

Yeah so I just had a game with this stat line:

                  55 points, 24/30 FGs, 0/0 3PT, 7/9 FT, 6 Rebounds, 6 Assists, 8 steals, 1 block

I was quite ecstatic. So far after two games I average:

                  46 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 5.5 APG, 5 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 78.5% FG (2nd Round, 1st Pick)

These are 1st Round worthy stats.

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

It wasn't until the 6th game of my second play-through that I realized I was playing the game way too passively.

At the end my character was:

                        Position: Center
                        Height: 6'10''
                        Rating: 46

                        Stats:
                        PPG: 7.2
                        RPG: 6.8
                        BPG: 1.7

I don't remember the rest of the stats and will be Xbox-less for a while but in game 6 I changed my playing style and instead of waiting for thingsto come to me tried to take matters into my own hands (I ended up calling for the ball quite a bit more and went after rebounds even if it sometimes meant leaving my man)...

                        And had the following statline:

                        12 pts, 10 reb, 2 ast, 4 blks, 2 stl, +50% shooting

Ultimately my projected draft spot was 22nd overall to the Pacers, but it was a good experience... If I had been more assertive from the get-go I probably could have bumped my draft postion up to a respectable #.

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

I finished my first DC run.

I created a 6'3" 180lbs All Around PG named Jimmy Page
After the drills and 6 games I ended up with this:

                              PPG 13.5
                              ORPG 0.5
                              RPG 2.8
                              APG 6.3
                              SPG 0.7
                              BPG 0.2
                              TOPG 1.7
                              FG% .443
                              Average Teammate grade: A
The good (in all games): Good shot selection
The bad (in almost all games): Allow man to score
Lacking Effort (in all games): Good spacing - I am not sure how to fix this, if you have an idea please letme know.

                              Overall 41 - 2nd round 22 pick to Pacers.

I was overjoyed at the fact that the game realized that I was filling the lane correctly on a fast break! You don't need to be making the dunk.layup to get the positive points.
I will probably make another run before the game comes out and end up something like: PG overall 42-43, 2nd round pick 20ish.
