    Post Draft Combine Player Stats

    Out of 6 combine games

    Athletic Shooting Guard #5
    Height 6'5" Weight 194 llbs
    Overall Rating: 42
    Average Teammate Grade: A+
    Overall: A+
    Offense: A+
    Defense: B
Draft Projection: Round 2 Pick 6 (Memphis Grizzlies)

    Statistics:
    PPG 33.5 FG% 696 3PT% 250 2/8 FT% 833 ORP 0.7 RPG 3.0 APG 5.2 SPG 5.8 BPG 0.5
    TOPG 1.8 FPG 3.2

    []2nd TRY[]

I was only able to increase my overall rating to 42. I used the majority of my points earned and from drills on ball handling, dunking and speed.

I recorded a 37.70 in the dribble course. I was surprise I usually hit around the 40s.

    Only ratings I increased:

    Inside scoring 62-65
    3pt scoring 38-40
Dunking 58-65 (unlock athletic guard dunk package)
Ball Handling 59-80 (unlock all-star ISO moves)
    Speed 77-81

I received an A+ teammate grade for every game. I completed every offensive objective but miss 2 defensive objective out of those 6 games. And received atleast 2000 points per game. The highest was probably around 2300.

I knew my player wouldn't be a good perimeter shooter so I played a slasher type guard. Most of my points came from dunks and layups. Though I would hit the mid range shots from time to time. And I got lucky, took only 1 accidental 3pt shot and made it.

The main reason I spent most of my points on ball handling is to unlock the All-Star ISO package. With the combination of speed it was very easy to exploit the cpu's defense. I didn't increase my off-hand handling at all which was a 55, I'm surprise I only average 1.7 TO per game.

Though my overall is low, unlocking the athletic guard dunk package and all-star dribble move set it was very fun playing with my created player. I was able to break ankles, catch oops and tea bag the cpu on occasion. I'll worry about the rest of the ratings when I start my career mode on 2K10. I gotta raise my perimeter shooting, number one priority. But as of now my guy is straight.

70% from the field? That's just ridiculous.

5.8 steals a game? holy crap. How long are the quarters? and is there an option to change difficulty, or are there no difficulty settings in the combine?

Thats right I get my majority of my points through lay ups and dunks and hit the midrange shots here and there. My player can't hit the 3s like that.

5 min quarters 4 quarters in a combine game and no you can't change the difficulty setting I don't think.

5 min quarters 1 quarter for scrimmage games

damn that's crazy son. only 5 minutes and managed to get those stats. So do you get to play the whole game? no subs? Do you find it too easy? maybe it's meant to be a bit easy but damn almost 35 points a game with 6 steals and 4 assists on 5 minutes?

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

Yes you play the entire 4 quarters no subs so thats 20 mins a game. But theres only 6 Combine games. But you can play as much scrimmage games you want. But scrimmage games only has 1 quarter to play through.

I wouldn't say easy cause in every game you're suppose to do certain things like limit your opponent to 9 points, get atleast a B Teammate grade, limit your opponent to a certain amount of points in the paint, get certain amount of steals, hit 2 3pt, etc...

So on top of filling the stats, you have to have a good teamgrade average and have tasks to do within the game.

i know there are tasks but these are averages. These tasks didn't stop him from averaging all those numbers. So you think he would have averaged more if he was never presented with a certain task for assists, steals, or rebounds?

Re: Post Draft Combine Player Stats

Because the developers did say that they wanted players to start from the bottom and earn the spot. but i don't think earning it would be averaging over thirty and 6 steals with assists on top of that. I want it to be a challenge, not just repetitive dominance you feel me?

Like if i were to start i want my guy to suck at the beginning and work hard to get those points. I understand those are Blake griffin type numbers or star numbers but in a feature like this someone would expect it to be over time and not instant impact.

Then again i haven't played it so i don't know how it is, Im just posting my opinion. Regardless of that i am still going to play the hell out of this game. I just want there to be a challenge. Maybe i would understand better if other people posted their stats through 6.

Im sorry if i offended anyone or disappointed someone, i am not trying to bring the game down or anything because i love me some 2k. I'm just being curious. maybe too curious to a few but interested nonetheless.

                      Don't think you offended anyone.

The game may just be easier because these players, quite frankly...suck. I can imagine guarding one of these guys then going to the Summerleague and guarding...say Steph Curry...then from there going to play against Kobe or Roy when trying to make the team.

I really think guys are dominating because of the competition just isn't very good. At least that's what i'm hoping.

Well that might make people think that the Combine is just a mode to kill time. Maybe it's only for the first 6 games, you are probably right. I'm sure it will get a lot harder once the training camp starts. I kinda feel like i was looking into it too much. lol what sucks is the adjustment that people are going to have to make when they are only playing a few minutes in training camp, instead of their dominant combine.

                        It's like

Player - yeah man i was killing the combine with 30 a game son!
                        Friend - on word?!? damn that's what's up B!

                        Training Camp Begins

Friend - Yo sorry i couldn't catch your training camp game, how much did you put up?

Player - .......Man i only got 5 points
Friend - Damn so you must have killed it on assists! let me guess you had like 12 assists and like 7 boards with 3 steals?

Player - Naw man i only played 5 minutes
Friend - oh...ok. I gotta go though, I'll catch up with you later

                        WEEK LATER

Friend - Yo did you see your homeboy curry put up 35 the other day?
Player - yeah i watched all of it from the bench

Friend - oh my bad son, you'll get there.
