Coming up with formulas is not that hard really, just find the highest and lowest denominator for a certain stat, which you could equate to 25 & 99.

As an example, I will use Draft Express and sort by Sprint speed. Since 3.80 is the slowest on record, this will be your low at a 25 rating. Now by sorting the sprint records by ascending, you will see that the highest on record is 2.91 .

Now that you have your high and low, subtract your high and low attribute ratings (99 - 25) and u get 74.

Then divide your sprint records (2.91 ÷ 3.80) = -0.89

Now we have to divide 74 ÷ -0.89 = -83.15


-83.15 is our multiplier, so if we take 2.91 x -83.15 = -241.9665

Through trial & error, we can come to the conclusion that

-241.9665 + 341 = 99

And if so then 3.80 x -83.15 = -315.97 + 341 = 25


So our formula would be (X • -83.15) + 341

X being sprint speed

I should have made it sound easier, but it looks harder than it is, all u do is find the high and low number and divide them by each other. Your always going to use the number 74, since attributes go from 25-99.

My explanation could've been easier though.

It would be wise if a list was made of all the known editable attributes allowed in the game, and maybe someone could start an Excel sheet based on DraftExpress info?

I wish that with the purchase of 2K10; we get access to 82games.com 's database for paid members. I heard that is where the tendencies will derive from this year.

But draftexpress is good because they have per 40 min stats for college players

I'm just gonna create a class without formulas, just go off www.nbadraft.net

I don't need it to be 100% perfection, just close enough. Gotta make the future stars pretty good and the average folks average.

Once I see what kind of ratings 2K are giving the rookies this year I'll start putting numbers together (making Wall the highest rated and go from there...)

Something I did last year was to come up with a concensus draft order for me to input in 2K.


For instance I took the draft order at DraftExpress and NBADraftNet and combined the two. Although this could work with more sites (if they hold clout).



Although I believe in the end Derrick Favors will be the #1 next year.

stewaat and 500, yeah i also used nbadraft.net last year.. last year though i didnt start out from scratch.. someone uploaded this excel file and said anyone was welcome to edit it if they want, so i did.. tehre were no formulas on that, just comparing stats with real players..

For the appearances, just look at the grid, start from the bottom horizontal line (that will be 0), and then go on the vertical lines which will start from the leftmost..

So for example.. Head: -Head (1/4) --Length, Width: 4, 12.. that's the first thing you're gonna be tinkering with..

So to adjust the length, just move the left analog stick down until it reaches the 4th bottom-most line.. And then to adjust the width, move the left analog stick again to the right until you hit the end which is the 12th and last vertical line..

i'll create graphics when i have the time, but i'll be using this format for now.. and sorry no pictures too, again, i'll take a picture when i have the time, so if someone's generous enough to take pics that would be nice.. I know it's not perfect, but so is 2k10's cap feature lol.. thanks

EDIT: I also have an mj cap, so if anyone's interested, just reply here or pm me or something.. it's not very good though, i mean, it looks like jordan, but without the stache, and with the eyebrows 2k provides, it doesnt look as good.. and also the hair plays a small part, i dont know why they had to put "the patch" lol.. and also, the caps could look nice when you're making them, but because of 2k's facial animations, they dont really look as good on the court.. oh well, hope they fix that a bit on the final release..

EDIT2: on the "John Wall" thread, DakkoN suggested using quick launch/jamison/pierce/billups/hughes jumpshot on him, cdiddy71323 said to try iggy.. i tried these, and i think jamison looks best on him.. it's your choice though, iggy looks great also, but as DakkoN pointed out, the arc was too high, so are pierce and billups.. so yeah, i suggest you use jamison's..

EDIT3: next up's gonna be derrick favors, his face looks easy to create in 2k10.. so i might make him already and post it up tomorrow..

frankly i dont like the pba anymore, it's full of fil-ams already.. not like the good old days when it was just pure Filipino greatness.. so yeah no thanks.. still a Ginebra guy though.. and if i'm gonna be asked to choose my favorite PBA player, it's macmac, go DLSU (that answers your 2nd question)!
