Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I upgraded my PC recently. I'm thinking about getting 2K10 for PC, and Live for 360.
I went from
AMD Athlon X2 64 6400+ 3.2Ghz
ATI Radeon 3450 w/ Hybrid CrossfireX
3GB of DDR2 RAM
to
MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2Ghz
12GB DDR3 RAM 6X2*
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100269-2GVXL 4980 2GB**
*might upgrade to 16gb
**waiting for AMD/ATI's 5000 Series(x2)
I'm wondering if my new build will be good enough to run 2k10. Does anyone with a setup like mine know? Do I have to try out 2k9?
.:edit:.
also I hear something about nvidia vs ati graphics in the 2k9 game. like physix and stuff..will that be in 2k10..cause then i'll have to update to nvidiaComment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I just got a pc to play games and HTPC, nba 2k10 and some others. I was hoping to play the game flawlessly but I guess that won't happen according to the specs you just posted.
I got
AMD x2 3.0 ghz
ati 4850hd 512MB
4gb ram
win7
I think this will still be enough though. I just tried Resident Evil 5 and Need for Speed shift - and both were running good at 1920*1080 at high settings. Maybe a small upgrade on Black Friday. I am getting nba2k10 for ps3 anyway.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I hope the box art is wrong and it is a Games For Windows title. Unlikely though.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I was only able to run NBA 2K9 in a smaller window and the graphics were at medium - low settings, but the game still looked good to my surprise.
Hopefully they retained the same graphics option in 2K10 that enables users to play in a smaller window rather than playing in full-screen for those who own less powerful rigs.2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
@barrist:
your pc have definitly enough power for this game. i got an x2 3800+, 2GB ram and a HD3850 and the game is running smoothly on high with FSAA. i got still the usb bug though. have to plug out keyboard and mouse everytime.
the moving jerseys edit threw config seems only to run on nVidia graphic cards. ive got a friend with a gtx and it runs perfect, I on the other side got heavy frame drops.
imo 2k9 was weakly programmed for the pc but as far as i heared it was like a last-minute decision to drop it von the pc market.
so i hope 2k10 wont have the issues cuz they got much more time to programm it properly
Yeah same here, i run 2k9 perfectly when i turn off ultra high (moving jerseys). with it on, it struggles.
Simballer, would you have any insight on whether or not this has been improved for 2k10, in terms of optimizing how the moving jerseys are handled by the cpu?
From reading other forums, it seems like its also an AMD cpu issue, whereas most Intel users are usually okay.

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I was able to run 2k9 fairly well, but just to make sure...
Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.33GHz
2.0 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
I know it's not the greatest, but will it do well enough for me to play without blowing my PC up?Comment

It ran flawlessly (not a single frame drop) on 1920*1080*32 with every possible setting on high/maximum, I did not do any patch, editing whatsoever-just installed the game.
And also as Simballer said it is better programmed this year I believe a reasonably priced PC will do just fine. I built mine from scratch for 450 dollars.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
just to follow up, I tried Nba2k9 with the above system last night - I never played 2k9 on PC before.

Nice so your 4850 runs nba 2k9 smoothly with ultra high character setting on?Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
no I didn't do that.
Today, I installed some roster/slider/face/shoe/court etc patches and played. It was simply fantastic. The patching community out there are able to edit anything in the PC version. I had my best Nba 2k9 experience today with the PC version (not because of the graphic, because of the gameplay! )Comment
