Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Hey, these posts are probably pretty annoying, but my computer is actually fairly old and I can't afford the $60 price tag to get this bad boy for my PS3. How will my PC do?
Windows XP
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 4000+ 2.41 GHz
2 GB RAM
Radeon X1900 512 MB
And...I like to play on 2k cam or similarThink it will be worth it for me to get the game or should I just skip this year?

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
Anyone got a clue when we'll get a demo for the PC? I'm really looking forward to 2k10 but I wanna make sure it runs okay (I still kinda hope they implement the physics in a better way so I can enjoy them).
I really like that we get full online functionality this year though. I was kinda disappointed when I bought it last year only to find out that I won't get current rosters etc. But this year.. and for 20$.. awesome
I would love to get draft combine thoughComment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
and your cpu is way to old for vista, you would have much better peformence on win xp !
for all other with questions to pc specs.
GPUs like ATI X19xx/ nV 86xx should run the game solid to very good, this is still a sports game and not an egoshooter on dx10
2GB ram are today a minimum and should be enough for nba2k
cpu is a thread for itself. i dont know if this game is depended more on cpu or gpu, every game is in this topic diffrent.
CPUs like a P4 are really old and could be a backbreaker even when u have a 8800GT which is fine for this game (CPU and GPU are always related to each other in performence for games, weak cpu drags down a topnotch gpu e.g.)
like mentioned before, dont use old hardware with windows vista.
this is a system that requires high perfomence hardware for gaming.
when xp needs 2gb ram vista mostly recommends 4gb ram.
a P4 on vista is a selfshot in your foot. 2gb ram on vista are way to less.
i hope i could help some ppl do get some kind of understanding in this case. partly its hard to explain and my text would go way to long if i would go deep into details.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
I just hope 2k10 has been optimized (especially the handling of the physics) as simballer has said.
I pushed my cpu up to 3.10 ghz (the AMD 64X2 5000 black edition is such a great oc'er) and its still not that smooth on ultra high. I know its not the latest and greatest cpu, but you'd think it'd be enough.
Does that keyboard/mouse unplugging really work? im gonna give it a shot.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 PC thread
unplugging is only way i can play without lags. the ultra high setting with moving jerseys was initially not available for pc though. so it wasnt really programmed, even it works on intel quads and gtx cards (still these are the most expansive and highend hardware devices u can get nowadays for pc)Comment

NBA 2k10 PC Requirements (kinda)
P.S.: Rumor has it that 2k10 is optimized and has the same specs as 2k9!
