                  Pared how does the gameplay feel compared to 2k9, does it feel fresh?

                    This was something I noticed as well while playing the game in August. I believe the developers said they were going to turn them down a bit more, but I feel like it was an issue that seemed more tied to the fact that there was more spacing, and so I tended to go for the oop more often because -- with the extra space -- it seemed easier to pull off while on the break.

                    I'm not sure if it would be tied entirely to the difficulty level either. I mean I'm sure the CPU will play against it more effectively if you spam it, but my experiences were from head-to-head games.

                      I would also like to know more association information, the 2k guys have not been that detailed about association this year, even though they label it "the year of the fan" for that mode.

                      Also the framrate issues are a bit troublesome, especially with the camera views. Personally for myself, the default camera this year is too far away from the court, just wondering how the other camera angles play OFFLINE.

                      Thanks guys, any info on any of these topics would be great, as soon as you get the time.

                          Quick question (and thanks for doing this):

                          Have they fixed Stephen Jackson's shot? It seemed as if they altered it in Draft Combine but it still looked similar to 2K9's abomination.

                            I definitely didn't have time (or the music) to check what each description meant.

                            The new aggressive D is cool but it's not this insanely amazing addition. It allows you face up on your player and close space on the ball handler. That makes me think... I wonder how it works off the ball, if at all in that scenario.

                            Here's a tidbit: So far, it's essential to staying in front of your man. I don't feel I can stay in front of my man without it, but I may just need more time with the game.

                            No, it's still controllable. The fade-aways out of the post is how you describe... and they look INCREDIBLE. I played against the Lakers last night (BTW, blackout is there in the arena but it could definitely be darker in the crowd. Live does this better from what I saw in the demo) and Kobe to the ball on the low block, turned and hit a fadeaway for the first shot of the game. Just a thing of beauty.

                            There is some sliding, but it's better than last year. All those long animations that I know a lot of you guys hated from 2k9 seem to be gone. The game is seriously cleaned up.... but there are still a few oddities here and there.

                            In terms of sounds, I'm referring to the crowd and the general ambiance, oohs and ahhs. The commentary... it all comes together well.

                            Both games haven't been able to capture the authentic organ sounds. It really annoys me... I went off about this in the Live forum and it's warranted here. NYC does not chant "Go Knicks Go" and it's here. I'm still waiting for someone to get the ambiance of MSG correct.

                            Player control is tighter and the Combine gives you a good idea about this. Long canimations have DEFINITELY NOT been an issue.

                            I'll have to check, we only tried one as a vs. game. I would think you can, since the controller select screen comes up. Don't take that as confirmation though!

                            Absolutely. The tendencies are spectacular as well. I think some guys might be off. Knicks fans know Duhon and Lee ran the PnR often and I didn't really see it out of them when I played against them. It was only one game, but that's what I saw.

                            Yeah, I felt like I just stepped into the twilight zone. I was floored anyone could think that it was a "EXACT" representation of Melo. I felt like smacking the dude and telling him to stop drinking.

                              The game play looked a lot better in video 1 (posted on this site) then I had expected after seeing and playing the draft combine.

                              The main issue, IMO, last year was that CPU superstars didn't play like superstars or even generate superstar stats during sim. There was no trying to figure out how to stop Kobe when playing the Lakers. They didn't even get him the ball a lot. If I played on a team with two superstars, locked in as one of them, the second guy didn't do much.

                              In the NBA Live demo it's clear that superstars get the ball more often, and play more like superstars then in past versions.

                              Hopefully 2K10 will be the same.
