i uploaded my songs but all it plays when i get the ball is roots by flo rida from teh soundtrack...not one of my uploaded songs...HELP PLEASE?!!

usually the location of the sharing is MY MUSIC in my documents.. from there, turn on your system. go to music library and make sure your computer is listed along with the new playlists from your shared folder.

start up your game and go to custom music manager, and all 120 playlists should be listed.. from there its pretty self explanatory. scroll with the Right Trigger to cycle through arenas. start with 76ers.. tipoff event, goes with 76er tipoff playlist, long event with 76er long, home up court goes with 76er homec, away up event with 76er awayt. now heres the tricky part, for chant defense, just use either 76er awayt or homec. it doesnt matter which one. for chant team, again use either awayt or homec. I alternate my choices personally..

as far as which events do what in general

TipOff- song starts right after the player lineups are shown. they last about 23 seconds and go until the actual tipoff

Long- these are played after qrt breaks. not leading into the qrt break but after the screen turns black, youll then be reintroduced into the game. They also play at any and all user or computer controlled timeouts

Home up- self explanatory. played when the home team is going up coirt

Away up- same as above for away

Chant Defense- songs that arent specific to defense can go in here and not override whats already being done in the game

Chant Team- I add home or away playlist here as I really dont have any team chants. Its better than hearing nothing as some people have complained of hearing no custom music. Those that do so have nothing checked for chant defense or chant team. those two are key. The game possibly defaults to the chant team and chant defense as the primary playlists to be played in games. A lot of people that have nothing selected there, hear nothing but in game sounds.

sambowie, Ive been using what came with my HP computer. Record Now. i cant really help you with the WMP11 burning issue. im sure there are other free software out there that specifically lets you burn as a music cd. one word of advice, music cd's are usually 80 minutes long. If you are fitting more than 90 songs onto a cd-r, its likely burning as a mp3. you could infact burn all the songs onto one cd-r as a mp3, but that WOULD NOT work in this instance for ripping to the 360. so you definetly need to be aware of the time that wmp11 gives you when you add music for burning

and usb devices do not work. either stream with xbox media connect, or create music cd-rs and then rip.

Job well done to all of those involved. I spent a couple of hours getting everything right, and after a few hiccups, everything was smooth, and seamless. This feature adds that much more to the game, and I wouldn't have known, or bothered with it if it wasn't for this project. Hopefully 2K can iron out the problems that's been documented when it comes to this feature, but it already sounds good on my end (anything else that's added or fixed is icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned). Unique, specific looking arenas, matched up with arena, specific sounds and music.... You gotta love it

OK guys, which page of this thread is updated with the latest 'nbamediashareonlywithplaylists.zip' file?

Also, I noticed that my nba 2k seems to like .m3u playlist files, instead of .wpl's. After saving the playlists as .m3u files...still no showup in 2k.

But, I will try Reuben's WMP 11 sharing technique...quoted in post #991.

was going to ask the same thing about this file. I downloaded the one in Pars thread and although it works the music is or seems really low, can barely hear it. How is it in the I assume newer file?

can't get this to work. I got the music on my PC and can stream it fine to my 360, but when I open up NBA 2K10 all it shows is my playlist name of NBA 2K. I don't see the music names. I took all the music in the file and stuck in public music.

I am having the same issue this is day 3 with it ANYONE got some info please help us both out. I really want to get to playing and less time fixing music THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have my musis on my xbox hardrive from that zip file...i made playlists on my xbox and selected the specific playlists to events but it still isnt working....any suggestions or tips. I know i have the music on my xbox and in playlists.

I think the Heat had one where it's goes (forgive me this is the best way I can discribe it) Tock! tock! Tock, tick,tock, tock, tock! ( rhymatically it is, Half note! Half note! Quarter note, Tripplet (3X)...the tripplet is on the down beat)

When they bring the ball up at home!

And the anouncers have a way of saying the players names(most teams do) but it goes Dwaynnnnnneeee Waaaaaddddeeeee! I wonder if anyone could find these sounds for the custom music files.

I'll keep an eye out for more and post when I have a chance...and yes I know the download was posted, but this is for the heat fans like myself who wanted a little more Heat flavor.
