thanks Mo. I wonder if I should take on this 180 file undertaking now or wait it out.

The tip off event doesnt have any reverb. But the game might think of that event as something seen or heard on a broadcast level.

Have you tried using the media share feature where you stream from your PC to your xbox? that would be perfect for many.
xbox 360 media share is ideally where its at with hundreds of files on hand. Having to burn cd-rw's, then rip, then name, then create playlists is a huge task.

If you could throw in a playlist for each event and see how it goes, that would be great. but youve done plenty as it is, so no worries.. Thanks again.

Yea, I was trying to use music from my shared PC at first, then my laptop, then my flash drive..none work. The trick is that each file has to be a individual playlist and the only way to create a playlist on the 360 is by using files that already reside on the 360 hard drive.

damn so wait... this isnt something that we can downlaod on 2k share like custom sliderss? or custom rosters?
would make alot of sense and make things easier

pretty much.

tipoff event may coincide with a broadcast feel so reverb on my end may not be needed.

Halftime may be whats played as you see stats/menus. so again, reverb is not added. same with player of the game and HIGHLIGHT...

im just trying to narrow down the events that need reverb.. I dont want a halftime song to have reverb if all im seeing is cutscenes and menus.

Long, Home up, away up, Chant Defense, and Chant Team may be the only ones that either have reverb IN the game already for you, or need to be added.

No need to worry and investigate. ill plan ahead and everything will be alright.

I am sad to hear that if you have one song for that event it would be played 100% of the time. I was hoping the sounds that are in the game already like "hey Oh" would mesh with the custom.. It's one way or the other it appears. Time think things out

Well I only tested the tipoff, I'm not sure if the other events are 100% replaced. I'm about to head out, but I will check when I get in later tonight.

Does it sound like the music/sound is coming from your television speakers or does it sound as if the music/sound is coming from the pa speakers in the game? Thats weird wording but the best way i can i describe it. Like does it sound as if the sound/music is overlaid over the game, or does it sound like the music/sound is coming from within the game, like from within the arena.

Aww damn... I spent like an hour finding music and ripping it to a CD for you guys and MC did it already.

What a waste of game-playing time!

I put the old Bulls intro for tip-off... the one by the Alan Parson's project... and it sound so sick going off right before the jump. *dances*

pared, if you get a chance, add a song/playlist to every event and see how each one plays out. I would love to complete this project for the release date. That all hinges on a few different factors that can hopefully be answered in the coming days/week.

I suggest you get a few CD-RW's if you plan on using this feature.

BRAVO, OUTSTANDING man....my goodness, welcome to customization FINALLY in a nba game. im just lost for words really. Ive already dowloaded all the music i need.....suggestion, you people should also DOWNLOAD a AUDIO EDITOR....ill post a free download to a audio editor as soon as i find it.....

the editor is needed to break down songs and get the parts that we really need. This also saves us space on our computers.

This feature is ridiculous, especially if everyone pitches in to create a completely customized product.

I'm going to work with other Warriors fans and compile a complete song list for the team. Once that's decided on (Warriors really don't have much official music so we'll choose what fits best), I'll make it available to download.

Ideally, we should all work to get every team done in some capacity rather than everyone working in separate directions.

Right now, I've got about 65 songs that would work for the game including 16 different team tipoff songs. What I am working on doing is normalizing and reverbing them and cutting them down to a workable length so that I can upload them into one downloadable file that can be burned on one disc. For those that have the game though and wouldn't mind testing a few things (Pared, MC and any others) a couple quetions:

1) Do the songs fade out appropriately ala NFL 2k5? If not, I would like to know, what is a good time length for each different event? Right now I can only gather that the tipoff song is about 30 seconds in length for association games, and a bit shorter for exhibition/play now.

2)I think most of us are still confused as to exactly what event "long" is. When is this tune used? I really have no clue.

I don't have enough songs that I know to do. If you give me a specific list, I'll try it. I also don't have the music, so specifics there would help to.

I'll even check to see if it works online tonight.

1. Yes, they fade out, at least the Tip off song faded out. Actually... that's still unknown. I put a fade in the song so I'm not sure. It looked like it faded out in MC's video though, didn't it?

2. I can try later tonight... I have a feeling it's just a long sound event, maybe used during a time out?
