AGAIN, what past games in the history of sports gaming have you people played that makes you think that online gaming can be a true "SIMULATION" (god i hate that word)...oh, the word simulation is soooo MTV now days the way you people use it. Its no longer a underground word....

im a realist, i dont sugar coat, im not some fantasy kid..and the real deal is that ONLINE will always be cheesy & exploit. Simulation is not made, simulation is what you make it. it's nieve to think that online will turn out fair or "SIM"..lol...oh wait, maby you guys are fooling yourselves because you might win a few games online, and you might play one or two games with your fellow sim buddies..lol, but dont get gassed. Complaints come from online 2k people. There will be tons more complaints this year because of the new fans on top of old. Put the two fans together and that makes for extra complaints.....

play with friends at home, REMEMBER FRIENDS....lol...play offline, use slidders to make the game better competition for yourslef. Be CREATIVE.....make the game harder to play..eliminate easy issues like spin moves & easy baskets. Hell if you know moves like that make the game to easy, THEN WHY KEEP DOING THAT MOVE.

this vid really means NADA..because all this vid shows is that it takes two jerks to become the new milli vanilli

I could barely watch the vid...just horrible, I'll wait for some real gameplay vids. Also it does seem to have the same feel as DC, I dont if thats a good or bad thing yet.

hahhah, ok....well guess what, every one of those games mentioned had a audience that complained about online glitches & fixes. YES, even the great nba 2k3...2k3 was GREAT when playing with buddies, hell, any game is great playing with freinds & buddies, but when the game gos online there are a number of faulty acts that can prevent it from being able to play correctly.

2k8 for a couple of weeks, YES, UNTIL THE CUSTOMERS WANTED EASY GAMEPLAY and 2k made the wrost patch EVER..i called it the DEATH PATCH.

btw those were 7 sport games you had listed, its 2010, does those games really give a clean argument?? ALL this time and there's still no real correction for online exploits. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THERE WILL BE CHANGE....again, simples will think that gameplay is the issue, but the real issue comes from the servers and connection.

am i the only realist in here...am i the only one not scared to face the facts.

I hate when the Live '10 boys come in here shouting about how terrible 2K10 is and how wonderful Live is. Live's version of fixing online cheesing is pretty much forcing the CPU to steal the ball after 1-2 "isomotion" moves. Does that sound realistic? Chris Paul can dribble from the outside all day and not get the ball stolen, but in Live, if they try cheesing, Paul will have 20 turnovers. In essence, they're pretty much forcing the issue by fabricating turnovers.

As someone said earlier, there's very little that can be done to stop cheesing. If someone wants to drive the lane with Kobe every time, it really can't be stopped unless the defender plays defense, you can't rely on the CPU defenders to stop the man that just blew by his regular defender, even if they collapse in the paint. I'm not seeing a lot of dunks, I'm seeing a lot of short jumpers. In other words, they're shooting BEFORE the defense can collapse.

I guess what I'm getting at is these videos, on whatever difficulty, prove next to nothing. On the other hand, based what I've heard about the other game, fabricating turnovers definitely does not sound like the way to combat cheesers.

Does Chris Paul try to run through people in real life constantly? No. Running into a defender in Live with no sense of direction will make you lose the ball or get an offensive foul. That is a very good way to teach cheesers the correct way to break down a defender and stop forcing crap. At least they are making an effort, unlike 2k.

I'm not going to watch the vids. I probably shouldn't even read the all the posts of people melting down about the vids, but the entertainment value of people going Chernobyl will probably be too much to pass up.

I think you both have a point about this. Shadio-I do believe that how a person plays a game doesn't always directly correlate to how sim a game is. People can make any game look good or bad based on their style of play (examples: someone who walks it up and calls plays compared to someone who turbos around all day looking for an opening.).

Bling-you are right that more things should be done as far as preventing exploits such as more ball deflections on cross court passes, handlers forced to pick up their dribble, etc. I did see quite a few picked off passes in that video than I would have seen in 2k9 imo. I don't think they should take it as far as the comp with people losing the rock the second they set foot in their painted area, but I see the reason behind it.

The last thing I really got good at in 2k9 was D, so we all may have to play 2k10 to truly see how cheesy the game is.

True but they still over did it. They really over did it. There is no real context. People just fumble the fall a lot when you press turbo in the paint. There is no sense that you lose balance or you are forcing it. The defense doesnt really make plays you just mess up. CH 2k8 had it right. Its tough to dribble in traffic and anyone can lose the ball but it felt realistic not just a 'cheese proof' mechanic.
