Re: Konsole Kingz gameplay vid up
I don't see what the issue here is. These guys were trying to bowl their way into the paint and missed a ton of shots, this is a good thing isn't it?
They don't even have any idea how to use isomotion, create space for shooters or find shooters in their spots in general. I'd destroy them online by playing good basketball and IMO that's what makes a good NBA game.
I have a feeling 2k10 will play like 2k8 online in the sense that even the cheesiest players can be stopped if you know how to defend and execute. The problem with 2k9 was there really was no way to defend certain aspects, I don't see this issue at all in 2k10 so far.
The presentation is freaking PHENOMENAL. I absolutely love the zoomed in camera when players are at the FT line. Anyone remember the zoomed out, out of focus shots of players at the FT line in 2k9? It made the player models look awful.Comment

Re: Konsole Kingz gameplay vid up
I'm no basketball expert but what i find to be really great about 2k10 is that it feels a lot more like watching an actual basketball game as far as presentation and atmosphere are concerned. these guys obviously don't try to play "realistic" basketball so, yeah, can't say a lot there.
But the way the home crowd cheers when an opponent's shot is blocked or just when Kidd hit a huge three (+ announcer yelling "threeeeeeeeee") etc.. that's gonna make the game a lot more enjoyable for me, although that stuff may not be too important for everyoneComment

I have to wait and see how this plays for myself.Comment

Re: Konsole Kingz gameplay vid up
That's why I,as a pc user/gamer,don't care about online mode of nba2k.Everyone plays that way online as these guys in the video? That's pathetic.
So,all i can say is:Welcome pc gamers to the cheese world.Comment

Re: Konsole Kingz gameplay vid up
Obviously those guys didn't know how to play, but I found some positives in that video. The graphics for one have been improved a nice amount, and it appears (maybe I just want to believe it) that they improved the jersey's fit on the players a bit to make it more realistic in appearance. Love the overall presentation, and I'm sure commentary will get stale eventually (as in any sports game), but I love how seamlessly it flows. I can see a good deal of different/improved animations as well so that's a plus.Comment

These guys are killing me. Every shot goes up within 5 secs or passing half court.
Play some real ball fellas...Moderator

Re: Konsole Kingz gameplay vid up
Yeah it probably can be turned off like most replays and post-play cuts, but it's disappointing that they didn't save the replays in general for breaks in the game. Seemed as if they were going that way with 2K9, but they went back the other way I guess. I'm not the type that likes to turn these things off since they add to the presentation package, but I might end up doing that at least for 2-player games because it's really distracting to me.
Also, is it possible this could be an early build? I don't believe I saw Iverson at all and he's been confirmed a Grizzly for atleast 3 weeks.Comment

The tired players were missing easy shots, and in general shot blocking and contesting seems to be much easier to do. These guys never seemed to body up on the ballhandler on the perimeter so there was penetration every single time. Of course the defense is going to break down a bit. Couple that with the fact that the speed was high and I think defense will be far more rewarding this year.
You all need to get over yourselves for thinking that people are supposed to play like you play. That type of thinking is a joke. The key is whether that style of play can be stopped.Comment

Iverson became a Grizzly well past the traditional 2K roster deadline which is usually mid August.Comment
