2k9 on the toughest difficulty and with all sliders set to make it toughest to score inside was cake to score inside. Centers could take the ball coast to coast, stroll into the lane and score.

Why would you not drive in for the easy score instead of take jump shots that were tougher? Sorry, but on the toughest settings you could set in 2K9 it was way way way too easy to score inside.

2K10 looks no different.

NBA Live demo it's a little tougher to score inside, but it's not tough to score. The CPU never locks down on D, hardly double teams, never traps, never presses, never makes you struggle.

2K10 looks similar. Once you understand the things you can't do, you can score at will. Nothing on D can stop you.

The Konsole Kingz are just playing the game as it is. And if you went online and played the "right way" against guys like that who ran around until the lane opened, they'd dunk and layup you to death for the loss while you tried to play by house rules so it looked like sim.

Guys in the NBA run plays and take outside shots because they have to. If they could score inside 100% of the time or even 70% of the time, they'd do it every time.

How they play is how they play. Doesn't bother me much. I realize these cats are the ones that 2k makes their bank on so why fight it. I know what I am going to do with the game when I get it so all is good.

I always am amazed these guys get to stream these games before anyone else though. They always seem to have the first gameplay vids up.

Alright, I'm giving you a warning about this. I met the people from Konsole Kingz last night and they're cool people.

When you and the others make comments like this, you make OS look really pathetic. Cut it out. We play the game a certain way and they play the game a certain way. There is no wrong or right way, because it's a game you purchase to do what you want. Ultimately, we all love basketball.

They may not play how I play, or you play, or other guys from OS play, but they have every right to cover a game they enjoy for the crowd that appreciates their coverage.

The elitism being displayed here needs to be shut down real quick. That's not what OS is about. I don't want to have to do it, so do me a favor and police your own comments. C'mon, you guys are better than that.

All you had to do was go to the launch party, get a copy, stream the vid into your PC, connect with Livestream or Ustream, and you could have done the same thing.

Well of course everyone has right to play his own way. If they put this to lower difficulty and tweak sliders, I'm of course cool with that. But if game play in general is set so it plays like this by default, that's the part that I would have problem with. But at least we see how players move, how arenas look etc... Pared, does AI let you play like this (constant fast breaks, forcing inside shots...) or does it punish you?

man this looks exactly like 2k9.

totally disagree, i've seen a lot of improvements in D like collapsing in the paint, if you know how to play D you are able to shut it down, the animations look so far flawless and not even close to a canned style like in 2k9

Watched into the 3rd Quarter and did not see one OFFENSIVE REBOUND...Player movement just seems odd to me...The players still move like **** roaches as they slide across the floor. Animations are superb though. Passing seems a lil weird too...all of the passes seem to be two hand over the head throws to the next teammate.

Where is the defense?

I don't want you to think I was singling you out because I quoted your post. It's the overall tone of a lot of guys here. The other video thread was the same way.

We have to squash that sort of thing. People don't go to local HS basketball games to watch and then ask the crowd how can they watch this. They just don't go watch. Same rules can apply here.

If you can drive to the basket and score an easy layup or dunk every time, why would you not do that?

If it weren't possible in the game, people wouldn't do it.

If your opponent actually cared to play positional defense instead of running around like a ******* jamming on the steal button, you wouldn't be able to drive to the basket and score so easily...

I'm just saying.

lol shhh. anyhow, man this looks exactly like 2k9. i mean, it's the truth. still better than live but the game looks exactly like 2k9. go look up a gameplay video of 2k9 and compare it to this one. not saying it's a bad thing... but still bothers me.

I'm sorry, but I don't get comments like these. First, 2K10 is made by the EXACT same company on the EXACT same engine. Why would it NOT look like 2K9 in general? Isn't it supposed to? The foundation of the 2K series is rock solid in my opinion. But that's my opinion and I'm sure you have your's. But I don't see the value in a general statement like this. Are you talking animations? Movement and dynamics? Speed? What? I just want to know. When it's all said and done, 2K9 had MANY issues that pissed off a lot of people. For as good of a game it was, it could have been SO much better. But, for me, those things that fell short (or totally missed the mark) were not related to how it "looked".

This isn't to call you out man. I hear what you're saying. I'm just saying that there's really nothing to gain from trying to judge 2K10 based it's similarity to 2K9. That's just going to be there regardless of what you do.

how do you watch the other 3 games other than raptors and wolves
