I don't like Steam either. It's the first time I've been using Steam and I feel like it's taking over the game. I like the game to be seperated.
      My Specs:

      ZX Spectrum
      CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
      GPU: Monochrome display
      RAM: 48 KB
      OS: Sinclair BASIC

There's a site that I came across at nba-live.com if you want to digital download the game, the weird thing is that it says it will be available for digital downloading on OCT 9 which is earlier than the OCT 12 when the official retail release of the game is...

I am glad they went away from Steam. I didn't like loading up that everyday.

I am curious to the file structure this year. Hopefully all the mod tools work. Although the roster editors are going to have to make room for 36 new tendencies with % tied to them.

Hopefully Flying Finn has a little bit of a basketball jones again this year.

The roster updates that are created by modder is not one of my concerns since we are going to get Official roster updates from 2K this year (b/c it has all the online functionaility as the 360/ps3 versions) I'm just more keen on the stadiums, cause some of the stadiums in 2k10 are off like the one at NJ, Cleveland, Toronto (huge gap at the end of the bench).

bunch of companies are moving away from Steam. I know that Football Manager will give you the option of using steam or another service.
