So, the player movement doesn't feel at all wonky, or sluggish to you? This is a big problem, for me, personally. Along with the defensive assist, and constant player movement-which I thought was good thing. But, I seem to fight with my player to go (or stay) where I want-even moreso than that other game.

What's the point?
Imagine I owned a resteraunt...would I stand outside in the street saying "hey, taste this...it's only half cooked and tastes like crap, but if you come in and pay for a full meal it will be better"?
At the very least...the 2K guys should have explained what's missing /why the demo is sub standard. Or maybe it's actually a true representation?
Yes, I can see why plays are left out of a demo...but why would ISOmotion be any worse.
Why release a demo of your product that basically makes it look poor? No logic there at all.
I love the Draft Combine...so I'm prepared to wait and see.
But the 2K10 demo vids + the vids of the full game over at Pasta's site don't look very good at all.Comment

I hope you're right, honestly. I actually liked the way the combine handled, for the most part. The controls really did seem tighter. Not so much the case here. But, this IS the demo-that comes out waay after the combine. So..Comment

Anyway...I am going to wait and see.
I was done with 2K after 09...but the Draft Combine got me hooked again.
I don't understand the logic in releasing a sub standard DEMO...especially after the DC was such a good step forward.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
I love all the people telling themselves how vastly different the final version of the game will be. YES, I know everything the demo copy is missing feature-wise, spare me. The game releases TUESDAY. There won't be monumental changes to the core gameplay. If people are smelling some turd in their sandwich, it's because it's there. The mere fact there's this much spinning only deepens people's belief they already have and their fear of dropping $60 on this only to have to drop another $60 on Live once they realize they enjoy it more. For those buying both it's a non-issue (as it will be for the fanboys burying their heads in the sand). But I won't be so arrogant as to say the concerned people shouldn't be concerned. They should be...they should be.Originally posted by jim416You are the 2k Police. :)Comment

Not what I said at all. I'm saying that, for the fanboys that do exist, they won't have a problem spending $60 on the game they love, i.e. they don't apply to the argument since they love the series blindly. That doesn't mean that people who like 2k games (but not blindly) are fanboys. The two things can be mutually exclusive properties.Comment

Got a stop and a fastbreak with Kobe. Jameer came over late and coughed up the And1. Crowd got hyped, started chanting defense, and all of the Lakers suddenly started bodying up their man. Jameer couldn't find an open player and threw a bad pass.
That was cool.Comment

this is not a demo, this is more like going to Sam's on a Saturday morning and getting to sample new products."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: NBA 2K10 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (360)
I enjoyed the Combine; was very excited for this demo but after playing about 5 or 6 games, I'm sort of disappointed. Feels like a "tightened" up version of 2k9. I enjoyed the new animations, especially some of the rebounding ones and how the cpu found the open man a lot better. I'm glad the turbo was toned down so much, but I never played any previous version of 2k holding the turbo down all that much so that is what it is. I enjoyed the clip of Kanye's "so amazing" at the beginning. Truthfully, I expect the final game to be better than the demo, but not leaps and bounds better. Hope I'm wrong. Either way, with the graphical enhancements, combine, beefed up CAP and some other enhancements I think 2k10 will be a nice step forward, overall.Comment

Nah I know what you mean though. I would go even further and say they don't give you a full sample, they give you a drop.Comment

I was leaning towards Live before the demo. After playing both last nite extensively, going with 2k. Sure Live feels fresh. However, 2K is tried, true, and consistently consistent almost to a fault. A tweaked 2K9 with a huge boost to the atmosphere, I'm going for what I know. Can't afford both on 10/6, may get Live later on."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell
