the price of the 360 + xbox live when i got it was still less than the ps3 when i got it. Difference is my PS3 didn't keep giving me a red ring of death and screwing up because it wasn't some crappy system with a huge flaw.

Listen, the bottom line is they are clearly showing favortism to one system over the other. It's not like they are offering things for the 360 that they are not offering for the xbox. The 360 and the ps3 have the same abilities so thats crap. Also, they knew of whatever "system limitations" the ps3 had as far as custom music so they shoiluld have either had a patch ready for release or not put it on either system until it was ready for both. My plan the entire time was to rent both and make my decision from there. 2k makes a helluva game but the servers are so 1990. I only play online so it would make no sense to purchase a great game that plays like crap online. They never fixed the issue last year and that was a big turn off. If it is the same and if Live has smooth gameplay online, I'm done. But I guess I have the option to buy the VIP and have "exclusive servers"...yeah right.

well you made it clear that you dont listen to facts and follow your own beliefs.

its whatever in this thread. say what you want to say, believe what you want to believe cause i know everyone is buying 2k10 anyways so.....and thats all that matters

This isn't a small thread...so far, 8 pages. I'm just suprised that none of the 2k folks have chimed in to "at least" provide us on an explanation. I'm not saying it's deserved or that we demand it...I'm just suprised that it hasn't happened.
Again, I'm getting the either way, and hopefully today.

i comprehend very well. you the one that said favortism, so you believe that 2k shows favortism and what facts are basing that on? so 2k is the ONLY company that shows favortism and give the 360 early releases before the ps3? LOL LOL LOL man like i said do some research and understand the business

I agree with you, it's frustrating being a ps3 owner when stuff like this happens. But the level that some of these guys are taking it is a little to far, like saying their buying Live because of this.
I too am buying the game first day and would've liked a demo before but I'm not going to overract like some guys here. The ps3 seems to be at the bottom of the barrell when it comes to demos, but at least we got a free AFL legacy pack

I just think people take this thing a little to seriously and not being greatful that a demo is coming out (although it's after the release date).

I understand that, but I have never had this game on PS3 and want to check it out on there. It also pissed me off that I had to have Live gold in order to download the demo. I never play online, but you want me to spend $50 for a demo? I bought 2K9 on release day last year, the next day I got the 3 rings. Not this year. The only new games that go into my 360 from here on out are going to be clearance games! Hell if your gonna drop a demo for one system, do it for all. Guess that makes to much sense. At least the next gen systems.

I honestly don't think 2k has any real say in when their demos come out. Just like patches.

lost planet 2 demo came out to xbox 360 gold members AUG 19.
lost planet 2 demo for the PS3 came out SEP 24

Did the Lost Planet 2 Demo for PS3 come out AFTER THE GAME RELEASED? No, so that is not even a fair or balanced comparison. That makes no sense. The disappointment comes from the 2k10 demo for PS3 coming out AFTER the game actually releases. 2 days later is not that long, sure, but some people like myself do not like to wait.

I am a person who simply has to have a game the day it releases. I dont want to wait another 2 days, I like to get games the day they release. I am obsessive compulsive in that way. I have no idea why, but that is how it is.

That is completely uncalled for and really makes you look bad. Nobody is calling anyone names here, and you come in calling people "Stupid" Are these boards moderated and is this how you are allowed to act here? We are talking about sports video games here and you are calling people stupid? Seriously?

Also, so many people are taking 2k10's side and saying this is SONYS FAULT. 2k has not come out and said anything to that effect. This is not a case where 2k gave Sony the Demo last week and Sony is refusing to put the demo up. There is no agenda. Sony is not trying to get people to buy NBA 2010 or whatever the Sony game is. If so, there would not have been a Live 10 demo on PS3.

This is obviously a case of 2k not submitting the demo in time for the store update. The store updates every week, on Thursday. This week it did update a bit early, but there were other demos in the update.

If Sony was holding this demo back, or if Sony did not allow this demo to go up. You would see the 2k Devs at least flat out saying that. BUT THEY HAVE NOT. You would see the 2k devs at least expressing their dissapointment in Sony not getting a PS3 demo out before the game released, but they are not.

This falls on 2k. They should have had the demo finished and ready to go. Sony would not have purposely held the demo out of the update unless it came in late. There is no agenda. Some of you are trying JUST TOO HARD to defend 2k.

demo are not obligated to be release before the actual game is. thats a preference, if u can show a rule book or a law in the TERMS OF SERVICE agreement where it says that demo must be release before the actual retail game is released then i contract everything i said but if not company are not bound by anything to release a demo to the public before the release date.

they have no obligation to release a demo at all

also how about showing a little faith in 2k. i mean 2k track record should be enough for you to buy without a demo also. sure some of you didnt like 2k9 well guess i didnt like 2k8 but even if 2k didnt release a demo for 2k9 i would have bought 2k9 on day one for the simple fact that they made more great basketball games then mediocre/bad ones
