I must say my experience with 2k10 is both pleasant and a tad uneasy. Online play vs offline play is as different as night and day as I will speak on briefly.

Offline the game is very responsive and I feel as if I have control of what happens on both sides of the court. When I first started playing I felt like it was indeed too easy to score in the paint, but after playing more and more games i'm learning to play defense and actually discovered the hands up defensive position actually works!!! I still believe the defensive AI downlow needs to be tweeked because I'm an on-ball kind of guy and feel like I shouldn't have to baby sit the CPU when defending for position downlow.

Online is another story it is almost completely different from its offline counterpart "In its current form!". Now 2k has already stated the online game is not finalized and won't be till official release day so I can only hope that the terrible lag, framerate problems, Defensive AI, substitution logic, alley oop frequency/effectivness, and LT+RT crossover will be ironed out come Tuesday.

All in all loving user vs user play and the entire My Player experience looking forward to many long days and nights of NBA2k10.

I was having a "chugginess" in the framerate whenever there was some down low in the post action right before and during a shot that would appear during almost all of these situations and then would all of a sudden clear up after the release of the shot. It was very noticeable because the action would be so smooth then it would be like the game struggles to keep up with the action and the game gets a "slo motion" effect for a second or 2, then clears up after the shot.


What I tried to fix this was the following:

1-Installed Game to HD and chose option to Play from Hard Drive
2-Switched Console Settings from 1080p to 720P

Since doing this I havent seen that random under the basket "Chug" or Laggy framerate pop up yet.

I really think switching to 720P fixed the problem which makes sense....its a lot easier for the GPU (graphics processor) to render the action in 720 than it is in 1080.

I'll keep you all posted if things change

BTW...this game is excellent. 2K10 is their best game yet. Very good variety and team play distinctions

Okay, this is getting frustrating and driving me NUTS.

To increase the MyPlayer quarter time I did this:

-Loaded the game.
-Went into options, gamplay, and set game time to 8 minutes.
-Loaded MyPlayer and created a new player (just the regular First Last player, didnt edit anything) and loaded it. Saved him.
-Loaded the first game of the Summer Circuit, and it's STILL at 5 minutes.

I think Im going CRAZY!

Please, someone help.

anyone with the game ripped to the hard drive... can you tell me what happens when you upload a video clip directly to the 2ksports site from the replay menu rather than the reelmaker

Im on the PS3, it seems so far from the limited games I played, that HOF is out of whack, Im seeing a lot odd things. For example im not seeing too much offense from the bigs down low especially when i play against the Spurs/Cavs/Celtics. Also players will be open for 3 like (Stojakovic) have been driving into a crowded lane instead shooting the open 3. Scoring in the paint seems to be a breeze again like 2K9 IMO.

no i don't think so. in my opinion after reading up a lot about the differences between progressive scan and interlaced is that it is better to go with P than I, especially for games, and things on tv with a lot of movement like sports.

This game is far from horrible....In my opinion, its the closest thing to MLB the Show 09 in terms of all around sports video game nirvana. It gets alot of the "Little Things" so right.

This game is like a fine cabernet wine, it's complexities and depth start to unravel slowly, the more you play it.

It's beginning to grow on me a little bit... the less I try to do iso moves.. the less sluggish the game feels... Presentation is top notch when connected to NBA 2k10

I have a few gripes so far though... on higher difficulties, sometimes the CPU tends to get ******** passes into the paint at successful rates.. but it's not as bad as it was in 2K9 for me. I'm also disliking how successful alley oops are.. sometimes they are appropriate on fastbreaks and even in a half court setting, but sometimes there be a lot of traffic and the CPU will still get it off easy

Sometimes the controls don't seem responsive enough when I'm not dribbling the ball... sometimes I'll catch the rock, and try to pump fake, and nothing happens...

The post up gameplay is dope with what seems like an unlimited amount of things to do.. I just wish he'd do something EXACTLY when I press the LS or RS without there being a second or so delay.. It'll probably take some getting used to.

And for some reason, if I have the game installed to the hard drive and try to upload a replay directly from the replay menu, it doesn't upload properly as a replay.


But the presentation, graphics, animations, atmosphere, arena music, PA announcer, all make the game seem very life like. The facial animations are the best I've seen in a B Ball game yet.

damn. this is EXACTLY how I feel about it. Almost word for word. The key for me is that it has started to grow on me. Initially I felt very dissapointed in the wonky controls. But here, less is more.

Can you please let us know as much info about the PS3 version as possible? I'd like to get it on launch date, but have a feeling 2K is hiding something (a downgraded version compared to the 360) and that's why we're not getting a demo beforehand. If it's at least comparable (graphics, lag, framerate issues, etc), please tell us PS3 owners.
