    Re: Frame Rate Issues

Are the framerate issues something that should keep me from buying the game? Is it that bad? I want it but not if the framerate is as bad as people are making it out to be.

Hey guys, i came here about to bitch about framerate and saw there was a thread already. I also play on broadcast and just played on a jazz court, FRAME RATE WAS HORRIBLE! Especially towards the end of the game, 3rd and 4th quarters. It was pretty much unplayable. I like the game but framerate is a deal breaker. Lets say you go up for jumper, framerate messes up your timing bigtime!! Im gonna try to clear the cache but if it doesn't help, this game is going back, and im not the one to give up easy on a game, its just unplayable.

Those that have the game, is the framerate better, worst or the same as 2k9?

          Thanks

            It's worse.
I have no idea how they could not notice it. And if it is not the game and instead the Xbox 360 then I guess we are out of lick. If they have to disable some of the arena effects like mascots or the crowd walking around I'm all for it.

I have installed it to the HD, tried every camera angle with key zoom off and it's still there, It happens in every d-league game because it's the same arena with different logos.

              Re: Frame Rate Issues

I'm curious about people's framerate issues in a couple of regards, many of which you may have already mentioned:

              1) Are there camera angles that provide a particularly rocky experience? Do any angles limit the frame drop?

              2) Does this occur more, less or the same when connected to XBOXLive, playing online, or simply having NBA Today hooked up?

              3) Are you all on High Definition TV's or does this affect standard televisions as well?

              4) Are there modes that are worse to play than others in terms of frame rate (human vs. cpu, My Player, XBoxLive, human vs. human, etc)?

I am curious as I've heard some serious "gamebreaking" complaints but I've also seen a large number of users just plugging along, mentioning some framerate hiccups but not being phased by them.

Uggh, that's not a good look, I might have to hold off about a week to I hear some more opinions. Framerate is a killer issue for me, more so than anything. So does the default camera work? The videos that people have uploaded on line don't seem to have major framerate issues.

                  Re: Frame Rate Issues

Framerate is a KILLER for this game. Case in point: I want a 2K producer, a programmer someone to tell me (us) what in heck is going on. And if there is a fix. No fix? Game goes back and I buy Live.

I am a looooooong time 2ker here. NBA 2k9 had some hitches. A few fram drops here and there. But this game? It is downright UNPLAYABE at times.

I have tried cache, download to harddrive. And there is still major, major slowdown. It seems to happen when it wants to. But when it happens it is severe. It slows to a crawl and then tries to speed up. Which makes the game uplayable in my opinion. I would take 2k9's hitches to this.

But again.... WHAT THE HELL 2K????????

very frustrating. tried the cache, hd, still slows down at random times and gets real choppy. hopefully a patch can fix this.

Man I was going back in forth whether or not to role with 2k9 again this year or to pickup 2k10, I was leaning towards 2k10 because of the MyPlayer mode (and some of these improved animations really look NICE), but if the game is suffering from framerate issues =\...

I might wait a bit to pick this one up to see if this issue gets fixed...

hello i too have had frame rate issues now my xbox-360 is an elite and i installed it to hard drive like i do all my games still happens even removed the zoom. my elite is less than 30 days old so i know it is not my system i trueley beleave the reason it slows down is there is to much crowd moving whill your playing

if i remeber right these games are coded to use the power of the cpu processor all 4 cores maybe the ps3 has a better processor there is just to much going on off court i find the frame rates while on defence moving lateral while covering the ball carrer bad as well.

i think its people setting and tv. i people should look and sure that they settings is compatible and stuff. some say they have major framerate, some say they have none, some say do this, some say do that. also some i know are lying just make 2k look bad, some are being truthful.

I really doubt it's people's tvs. Why would it stutter for one game but not others? That doesn't really make sense. Plus there's A TON of people complaining about framerate. Looks like at least half from what I've seen.

I've noticed some trolls in this forum who complain about everything, but that doesn't explain the fact that the framerate thread has 5 pages of people complaining.

I agree. All my games play fine on my tv including 2k9. But this year, 2k10 has an issue with framerate and sluggish animations and controls at times.
