    Re: Frame Rate Issues

xbox 360 version right here...there are frame rate issues. i play on 2k view. I think most of it has to do with the arenas because there's so much crap happening all around the place. I was using the Sixers when that happened. So some times it's good and some times it's playable, but I believe anything that's significantly wrong with the game will get fixed cuz 2K is decent at that, even though they don't care to fix them in the beginning.

    completely off topic but:

Glitch #1, inbound passing from the sidelines, the ref will bounce the ball to the inbounds player...and the inbounds player will pass the ball back to the ref...and it keeps happening over and over and over until you waste a timeout.

Glitch #2 Online, at one point when the framerate gets real bad, it'll trigger something so that the game plays in slow motion until you burn another timeout.

I don't really know the true differences between the xbox and ps3, but if ps3 has the real power to make 2K without the framerate issues, I'm jumpin all over that!

Edit: would the xbox video settings combined with an hd tv make the framerate issues for 2k even more worse than it already is?

well its def a 360 issue and yes to much info needs to be processed bogs down the xbox 360 the crowds and everything else that is moving i switced from broadcast to 2k cam and it runs better.
side notes i think the stats overlays that they show durring free throw attempts sometimes blocks your attempt at a perfect release because of the random camera angels you get some block the view as well as the missing stat overlay of teams on a run were they display what it is like lakers on a 12-4 run as soon as that pops up it disapears you never see it.

Someone on here said it's a 2k issue and ps3 users experience it as well.

Have both 360 and PS3 versions. PS3 version runs smooth. I only experience frame rate issues on the 360. Especially when playing with the Cavs at home. Other arenas are so bad. This is all in broadcast view btw.

I had huge framerate issues too, but then i deleted my xbox 360 cache and switched from widescreen to normal mode, and tada, no more lags. Its running smooth now.

do you mean you change the tv from
              16:9 to 4:3

i dont know if it will supose to help but the game will get some wired streach i guess because the resulation of the tv is for widescreens

mm a thought do you think at october 6th there will be maby another relese of that game
with the fix how it was supose to be ?

Well...that's 2 people saying the PS3 version has no framerate problems.

Honestly, we wont really know until Tuesday when the game officially hits store shelves.

I've also seen 2 people say they had issues on their ps3 so I'd just wait and see. Maybe it's just a higher percentage of 360 users have a problem.

I have PS3 and have not seen any of the issues indicated. I have only played 6 games though. I will try playing in Cleveland and OKC as I have heard these have the most lag.

FYI, I play on default everything so far. I usually tweak sliders after i get a better feel for the game. No changes to camera though.

So many problems being reported with this game...ugh. I only play on broadcast and now I hear that's the one that isn't running well. Before that I heard it was 2k cam and broadcast works fine. Don't know what to think. Couple this with having to baby sit your teammates on defence (same AI problems as last year which they claimed they fixed) and I'm not so sure about this anymore. I'm really going to have to wait for reviews. By the looks of things, 2k may get a 7 or 7.5 this year.

I know this is slightly off topic, however I need to know. I have both systems, and would prefer to buy game for PS3, as it is on my bigger TV, with surround sound. I am curious, can those who own both, as stated in this thread, is there much difference in graphic quality, minor issues don't matter, but is one significantly better than the other? (not frame rate, but simply the grahics overall)

I'm guessing this is only a problem on the 360, I haven't seen any frame rate problems on the PS3.

Ok I know this has been said b4, but come one the frame rate is that bad? And you keep mentioning other arenas. What arenas have the worst frame rate?
The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.

I noticed it in certain arenas on the 360. The Cavs is pretty bad when there are a few people in the paint. Staples Center and the FedEx Forum seem pretty smooth. Didn't notice any issues at those arenas. Haven't tried any other arenas yet.
