I still think that 2k trumps Live's effort this year and it will be fine. I read through nine pages of griping and complaining and it ALMOST got me to want to not get the game -- but then I realized I was reading a thread in OS.

Again, the game hasn't even been released.
Actually it has been over a year and not a couple of days because the same problem was and still is in 2K9(especially offline using 2k cam) so you should be concerned that they are still having the same problem again this year.

If they are going to fix it soon...they need to announce it. I'm not going to just assume that it will be fixed soon.

Here is the scary part: There IS an update for the game already. When I first popped it in there was an update to download. I doubt there will be another one so soon.

This ISSUE has plagued 2K Sports since they jumped into NEXT-GEN. I just don't understand how this issue continues to make it's way into the final versions of their products.

Are these issues on the default camera as well?
Default/Broadcast cam isnt so bad..infact its very much playable with that cam imho, well it gets a bit bad on a few stadiums with broadcast but not nearly as bad as 2k or drive cam's....although i cant speak for everyone but broadcast cam dont seem to get hit as hard with framerate issues as the other "closer" cams... i do have it on 360 and using 2k or drive cam is unplayable at most stadiums.

Im just still scratching my head in why this was not addressed over the 10 months time they had developing this years 2k10. Last year on my monster pc..i have a Qx9650 Quad Core @ 4.6ghz OC'd, 8gb DDR3 Ram, AMD 4870X2 2gb vid card and i still had framerate issues with 2k9..whiche tells me one thing..this game is not as optimized (the game's engine) as it should be. It has nothing to do with the 360 hardware..the 360 has plenty of power under its hood... a tri core 3.2ghz cpu should be able to handle this game..along with the uber potent Xenos graphics proc in the 360.

I wish the 2k dev's would frequent these forums and answer some of our questions like the EA dev's do.

this problem has been in the game for at least a year though. last year they supposedly addressed it with their patch and it did nothing. the FT lag is still in the game as well people say. what surprises me is the fact that they allowed this to keep happening this year.

I owned last years game and had no problems so I don't understand your guy's argument that it was not fixed all last year.

Maybe you are playing on an old Tube TV or something because I have a 23 inch LCD and have never had an issue with significant slowdown in the gameplay.

Again, I still think a lot of you are blowing things waay out of proportion. If the game was truly "unplayable" this entire forum would be at a stand still and no one would be discussing the game -- just the frame rate.

Just wait until tomorrow my friend. The game has not "officialy" been released yet. The games framerate is horrible this year. Last year it was a minimal annoyance. This year? HORRIBLE.

I have to agree with the last 2 posts. i haven't seen any frame rate issues on the PS3.

The crazy thing is, i only got the PS3 version, because the store selling it early only had PS3. Guess I am glad I did, but all my friends have 360s

                              Re: Frame Rate Issues

I was reading over on the 2k forums that some people think the framerate problems might have to do with the resolution you play on. Well, I think it might be part of the problem. Of course I always play on 1080p and was having horrible framerate problems to the point of me not even wanting to play this game anymore. So I switched over to 480p and had very, very minor framerate issues. Unfortunately, 480p is junk since I'm spoiled with HD so I just put it on 720p and the game plays much smoother than on 1080p. I use broadcast cam with key zoom off, and zoom at 4. The only lag I get is when it goes to cutscenes sometimes, especially the free throw cutscenes. I can live with that and I got new found love for this game.

I can confirm PS3 version dnt suffer lag issues, tried also the "hot stadiums" like Cleveland and OKC, pretty smooth.
So if framerate is your point of concern (sure for me), go with PS3
