Well thats why. I would think playing 2 minutes on 4 min quarters, would scale to playing 6 minutes on 12 minute quarters, meaning that minutes is treated as half the quarter.

        Re: NBA2K10 Official Patch Thread

I haven't officially played the game yet, but from videos ive seen and from what im hearing things that need to be patched

Lebron chalk throw - the home cleveland crowd behind the scorers table doesnt stand up and cheer when he throws it into the air.

The defensive issues - cpu players not staying with there man, def assist issues, auto double teaming in the post.

Patch in the option for auto post up or manual post up, I think this would make alot of gamers happy.

More contact or improve paint defense, im still hearing that it is easy to walk right in the paint and score.

Im not really worried about headbands or shoes or accessories, I don't really play dress up Barbie with the players in the game, I just would like to see the gameplay true to life. Like I said I haven't played the game myself so I maynot have the same issues as others. The fatigue thing I can't wait to try this out, Im hearing from some people that people don't like it because it forces them to use there bench. Im not worried about that though, if it doesn't seem realistic, it can be adjusted with sliders.

Yes 2k. Do not touch fatigue! I agree with DC.

Don't touch the hop spin either. that was routinely abused in 2k9 while in the paint and I'm glad they tried to put it in check.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

needs to stay the same. USE YOUR BENCH then you wont have aproblem with it. people just want ot play their starters the entire game
Do you think that increasing the fatigue slider might fix this issue?

I hope the auto double team is fixed. If I put NONE for double team, there is no reason why the CPU should double. FOr those of you that say, "It isn't happenning in my game. Just be lucky you haven't seen it yet. I know this has been an issue in the past so I can feel for Sarah and anyone else that has to deal with it. I shouldn't have to alter any settings for this to be fixed. It shouldn't be happening point blank
                Concrete evidence/videos please

if you dont want your players to get as tired then you lower the fatigue

but I noticed in the demo if your running up the court then your teammates will run with you that why their turbo goes down as well and all big man have lower stamina then guards so once again if you turbo up court then your team will too

loose ball/over-the-back fouls! where are they? this is the second most called in the NBA and its totally absent...

                      Re: NBA2K10 Official Patch Thread

players get tired so much more quicker online than they do on regular offline games.

Online, I understand they wanna tone down all the players that always use the turbo button 24/7. That's fine. But when I'm facing a dummy on the other end who makes stupid mistakes, I generally have one or two guys on the fast break. If this happens for maybe 2 or 3 possessions straight, their energy is halfway depleted. I honestly believe it's unrealistic for a healthy Andre Iguodala to NOT play any less than 50-60% of the game on a semi empty tank because he's too tired from running back and forth, he must not really do that in the NBA.

And cheesing is in full effect! Just like in 2K9, give it to the guy under the basket and watch the points come to you!

                      I LOVE THIS GAME!

Sounds to me like a few of these patch requests would help cheesers.. We don't need anyone controlling Kobe, Lebron or Wade for the ENTIRE game. As for the spin move, leave it alone. It was abused in 2k8 and 2k9. I'm on board with leaving fatigue and the spin move alone. There is no need to patch either of these.

You guys have me wrong. I'm probably the most anti-cheeser dude on these forums. I like the fact that fatigue affects games the way it does and forces someone to use his bench. What i don't like is the fact that your best player gets tired after two minutes of play and plays the least in a 12 min quarter game because iso plays are run for him when in the NBA, the exact opposite happens! A star player should be able to play 4 minutes straight and then need to be subbed out.

Fatigue is a HUGE issue online.. Im not a cheesy online player but there is NO reason why my guys should be tired 1 min into the 1st quarter.. How are you supposed to play defense and run a fast break if you are afraid your guy will be tired within 30 seconds. I get the point of it but this has been taken to a new extreme. You are playing 5 min quarters online. My stars should have enough stamina to play 13-15 minutes.. Right now they may play at decent speed for 6-8 mins and that is simply unacceptable. If you know how to play defense, you can stop any online cheeser. If you know EXACTLY what someone is going to do (and you'll know what kind of cheeser they are within 2 mins), then it should be easier to beat them. If you just suck and can't play defense online, that's another thing. This game punishes you for playing defense online now.

If you don't think online fatigue is a problem, then I don't believe you've played online. I've played 8 games and all 8 different people I played with complained.

From what I've experienced and read, these are some of the issues:

-Headband colors-seriously, you would have to try to mess up on this

-Lebron Intro- Chalk doesn't show when it's launched into the air by Lebron.

-Hopstep Spin- Whenever i do this, its a charge since the player's elbows are flailing all over the place. That shouldn't happen often.

-Paint colors- there's a thread describing this(this would be a minor issue)

-Missing wide open dunks/Lay-ups- i really cannot express how annoying it is when the game is on the line,5 secs left and you miss a dunk on a fastbreak.......using the right hand!!!

-Mismatches- I don't know if its just me but when Ilgauskas is doing a good job of staying in front of Louis williams, there's a problem

                                -Frame rate issues-self explanatory

-Help D- Its a little annoying when you've locked down Lebron with one player yet the cpu finds it logical to double and leave the shooter at the wing open

-Lights?- After you call a Time Out, a glitch occurs where the lights that move around the arena during a dead ball continue to move around even when they are supposed to be off.

-Substitution bug-In the summer league in the 2nd and 3rd quarters in my player mode I get subbed in and out every dead ball. So I'll be in for about 30 seconds, then subbed out for 30 then back in, for an entire two quarters.

-Fatigue- This has been taken to an extreme. Even if you don't use the clutch once your players still become tired after 2 mins. of play(stars included). This needs to be toned down a little. A player should be able to play an average of 3:50 mins before having to slow down.

Well, thats my list. Any additions that could help improve 2K10 would be gladly appreciated.

PS: Don't mind the title, everyone has a noob mistake.
Everything this guy said, plus the Isomotion feels so clunky and is not very responsive. This needs to be cleaned up. Iso moves should be more exact. I feel like the animations, even when just moving around the court, are to restrictive. Player movement should be more "free-flowing". If 2k10 had Live 10's ease of control (dribble wise) it would probably be the greatest basketball game of all time.
