Re: Official 2k Bugs and Glitches Thread

(PC version) Jesus, this game is just full of it, new bugs popping out all the time.

In my association the play doesn't stop when a basket is scored?! so the ball goes threw the net and there is no inbound action I can just move up to the ball and I have another possession while the cpu just stands around.

And if the play is 'and 1' you get two free throws instead of one.

    Needles to say it's a game-breaker, I can't play like this.

Re: Official 2k Bugs and Glitches Thread

All of this has been said before, but why not say it again.

After the Knicks called me up from the D-League, my 60 overall player gets even more minutes than he did in D-League, 37 minutes with 12 minute quarters. In addition, my defensive goals are to keep Cambyman, Tyson Chandler and etc just to 3 or 4 or 5 total rebounds.

Other than that, it's pretty painful to be a low rated big man on the offense, all I can do is set picks. :P

The game should reflect that it's tough to get those minutes, not throw 35+ minutes at a total scrub coming in from the NBDL. The rotations have always been a bit awful, but this one is a game mode breaker for me, I'll stick to the Association.

Re: Official 2k Bugs and Glitches Thread

This is also been around for years I know, but Troy Murphy did just get traded for Corey Maggette for the third time in my first year of Association. It doesn't really phase me too much, but I guess it'd be nice to finally get that glitch out of there.

Secondly, is there a new rule in the NBA that an inbounds pass in the frontcourt cannot be thrown into the backcourt? I could have sworn that's a legal play but it is whistled as a backcourt violation in 2K10. The only way this pass is allowed in-game is if the throw-in occurs on the half court line.

          From NBA.com

          e. Any ball out-of-bounds in a team's frontcourt or at the midcourt line cannot be passed into the backcourt. On all backcourt and midcourt violations, the ball shall be awarded to the opposing team at the midcourt line, and must be passed into the frontcourt.
EXCEPTION: During the last two minutes of the fourth period and/or any overtime period, the ball may be passed anywhere (frontcourt or backcourt) on the court.

When I played in HS and college I remember being able to throw it into the backcourt on side out of bounds plays as well. I wonder if the NBA is different or if it has changed since the 90s. Or maybe we're both just trippin'.

I wonder if 2k got the exception right though. Anyone thrown backcourt in the last two minutes and got away with it?

            NBA Today

-Sometimes, they will say X team won when they actually lost.

-They will give credit to another player during the keys to the game.

-Last week, I was curious if they would mention Brandon Jennings 55 point game, but all they talked about was Bogut averaging 21 points over the past 3 games.

I don't know if this would be considered a glitch or what, but in my second season in Association, there are some seriously messed up all star teams and award races. So Xavier Henry won the rookie of the month the first two months of the season and leads all rookies in scoring. He also is averaging 4 rebounds and 4 assists a game. Somehow he is not listed in the top five for rookie of the year. Then in the rookie/sophomore game some guy named Dan Hicks played for the sophomores. This fellow has never appeared in a game and was undrafted. In the real all star game, I got no players on the team. Kevin Martin is averaging 22 points a game for me and shooting 44% on 3s and 49% overall. David West is averaging 27 ppg, 8 reb and is shooting 58%. Stuckey is averaging 18 ppg 11 assists. On the all star team: Garnett is a bit of a stretch at 16 ppg and 10 reb but almost no assists. But the one that really upset me was Mike Miller. He's averaging 6.7 ppg, 5.2 reb, and 6 assists. He's shooting only .447 and .350 from three. Heck he's only .692 Free throw. That's an all star??? Also on the team Shaq with 12.4 ppg, 7.4 rebounds.

Yeah wow, I can't believe I never caught on to this rule in the NBA. I guess I've seen it so much on the college and high school level that I just presumed I'd seen it in the NBA as well. Thanks for the link, it inspired me to delve deeper and I found this on an official's blog:

"NO BACKCOURT INBOUNDING UNTIL LAST TWO MINUTES OF GAME
This is probably one of the more obscure rules and the most difficult for everyone (players & officials) to adjust to. At every level of basketball, teams can inbound to the backcourt at anytime. However, the NBA is the lone exception. In fact, the NBA did not allow any backcourt inbounding for many years. While I don't have the year handy, I know the NBA eventually changed it's rules to allow for backcourt inbounding in the last two minutes of the game."

And with that in mind, I'll amend my glitch: On a handful of occasions, I've had the computer throw the sideline inbounds pass into the backcourt, thus resulting in a backcourt violation.

I'm thinking this is the first year NBA2K10 has called that rule accurately, which would make sense due to the game's recognition of other small rules this year (kicked balls, 3-second violations).

I had the chance just yesterday to throw a backcourt inbounds under 2 minutes and having read/posted on this issue I jumped at the chance to do it. Sure enough it was allowed. Good job by 2K getting that whole thing correct.

I can't be bothered reading through all the pages, and it may have been said before.

In Association, when you check a player's stats from previous games. Sometimes, a game that their team won shows up as an L and vice-versa.

As long as I've been playing Association, can't believe I only noticed that now lol.

OK. So I'm posting this issue for the nth time and I hope someone will atleast address it.

On the user profiles, only one out of the two are saved in terms of Hum vs Hum games. I've now noticed that only Controller 1's user profile gets saved. Any help?

Re: Official 2k Bugs and Glitches Thread

Alright this might be my fault. I uploaded my character before the patch became available...But I did not import it on NBA2k10. I went through summer circuit everything checked out fine...I averaged a triple double and failed to get on Minnesota...I went on the Blazers got on the team...But then this happens.

When I began my season it showed that I already played the first game (Against Houston) which I did not. Everytime I get subbed in I stay in the rest of the game as well as my teamates. It lags as well...And I have not heard anything about lag after the patch on here.

Could it be because I registered it before the patch? Or is it a problem all of you have?

Do you suggest I do not play the combine, but just start the my player mode via NBA2k10?

Does the players draft combine tag still show up after the patch?

Sorry if this is a bit late, but it's getting kind of annoying. Any help would be appreciated

Just started my association and I've already had the following problems occur multiple times:

                          1. When I hit R3 in order to check on a player whom I have on the trade block, the game freezes the ps3.

                          2. About midway into the 2nd qtr and for some reason the computer takes over all control. I can't inbound passes or do anything. The only way I can regain control is to quit the entire game and restart everything.

I thought the patch was supposed to make this game better, but from I have experienced so far in my little time with it, I say bs.

Any word on if they are even working on another patch?

(PS3 Version) I've encountered a problem with a replay I saved of my player dunking. I saved it to a file right after it happened, with the intention of going back and uploading it to 2ksports. When I went to load it from the load screen it said it loaded successfully, then showed a random stats screen as it was loading. Then the screen went black after leaving it for five minutes I had to hard reset! This happens consistently with this file, I can load another replay file no problem.
Has anyone else tried this? I can probably send someone the file for testing purposes if that would help.

Not really sure where to put this, but often if a play calls for a computer player to pop out above the three point line in the middle of the floor ready to fire a three ball, they will pop out about 28 feet away from the basket and fire away as if it's a regulation trey-ball.

That is, they catch and fire from way too deep when popping out at the top of the key.

I've made the team with my player and I'm playing my first NBA games but there is something very annoying.

It appears that the computer sims some of the games where my player played without me being able to control him. I noticed it because my stats indicated 10 ppg although I've always scored at least 14 points. Then I saw on the schedule some games simmed by the CPU with the name of my player on the boxscore.

Is there a way to fix this? Am I the only one with this issue?

It's really annoying because your stats don't reflect how you play.
