Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
I am really liking the game..but if you are easily frustrated..don't open it. I have a few gripes, but they aren't all that bad and most of em are being fixed in the patch.
Also, can anyone tell me if I will have to redo my association in order for the patch to apply to it..I hope notComment

No, you don't have to start your association over. That's only the case for new rosters. Patches in all games don't require restart of franchises. It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
I love 2k games, always have been my favorite.
Im going to be honest here, if you own a PS3:
Buy live 2010. I bought 2k10 and now Im looking to trade it for live. I simply cannot stand the jaggies in this game, they are horrible! Unless you are playing on a 37" lcd or smaller, Id go live. Im a video specialist and on my Sony Bravia 52" this game has tons of jaggies. The best results were at 720p. 1080p looked horrible.
If you have a xbox360:
Id go 2k10 for simulation, live for fun
Hope this help.Comment

Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
The OP officially has been diagnosed with OS syndrome....a disease that involves paralysis of analysis by reading all of the negativity on these boards about any given game, to the extent, that said purchaser of a game is taking a referendum on whether to open the game or not.
Wow.....stop reading other peoples impressions and form your own! I forgot, you cant do that unless you open and play the damn thing...Jeesh![OS Vets NBA 2K10 Champion]

Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
My question for you is... are you a diehard basketball fan? If the answer is no, just take it back. Why waste $60 on a videogame if you're not going to play it. I don't care who you are, but that's pathetic that you would waste a week out of having it and not playing it. Get your moneys worth and open that up. It's a great game, you just have to be patient with it like every sports game. You got to get used to the new game play. I've played about 20 games so far, and I'm really starting to love it. I only have played online thus far though. But I plan to start an association soon.Comment

...I think you might as well try it OP..now that I think of it, wherever you got it from will probably not accept the return unless it is in within 7 days even if it fully wrapped up. But use sliders.

Dude just open it. Your going to play the game eventually. Why wait for the patch? It's going to get patched sooner or later anyways so I say just open it.Last edited by dopeboy206; 10-18-2009, 12:18 AM.Comment

Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
I don't understand the confusion in this thread. There have certainly been a couple games over the years that I've bought, read the user impressions, and took back to the store without ever opening.
I didn't know it was that uncommon or hard to understand.Comment

Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
There's no confusion in this thread about that fact. Frankly, I think this is yet another thread fishing for criticisms of the game.
We should have a sticky thread that counts these things. How many different ways can you start a thread that starts a flame war? It's a very interesting social experiment really.Comment

Re: I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch and be honest guy
NO! Don't open it, wait for the patch. It's the only logical thing to do. You want the case to keep that "new case smell", right? So I recommend to just stock it 'til the patch comes out.
Wait, am I reading this right? "I've had the game for a week, Should I open or wait for patch..." ... Really? This means your going to open it eventually, correct? What difference does it make? Well, unless you really want that "new case smell"
