Oh... I got the scoop from Yahoo search. Big ups to T-Mac!

"The new number represents his documentary on Darfur, titled "3 Points." It refers to the goals the NBA baller has for his efforts: peace, protection and punishment.

In the summer of 2007, McGrady took a trip to the Darfur region of Sudan, where civil unrest is at an all-time high. He filmed his experience while he was there and has since dropped more than $75,000 in humanitarian aid to the region."

So Ariza had to give up HIS number to T-Mac, because T-Mac chose to use #3.
i noticed the same thing when i was editing some of the rosters & i was thinkin' the same thing. now that's good stuff right there. need more people like him doin' that.
    ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?!?!?!

He wore #9 in the Olympics as well.

Maybe IF he ever wins a chamionship, he deserves to wear it. Until then...he's just another good, athletic player overhyped by the media who hasn't won jack and who pads his individual stats and is concerned more about moiney and fame than winning a title.
The lengths you go to to hate on LeBron sometimes is mind blowing. Your post history is cluttered with complete and total nonsense of trying to put the man down. It's pathetic really. I'm just wondering, did LeBron take your girlfriend or something?

I honestly think Jordan would let Lebron WEAR 23 if he went to Chicago. And Kobe is a Jordan 'groupie' (like every other 24 and older player) and everything that man does is "like Mike": the way he runs down the court, the moves he makes, the way he talks about Phil, the way he talks in interviews. But his greatest unlike Mike attribute is: He needs a dominant Big Man to win

Lol. As great as MJ was Kobe did something he never did last year. Kobe won a title w/o another top 10 player on the team.

I'm a huge MJ guy but the charade that he did by himself needs to stop. Pip was a GREAT player as well

Gasol is defintly in the top 10
              he simply dominates !

i luv kb24 (& LBJ : D ) but no way LA would have won last year without Pau.

That's funny because I could swear that Michael was 1-10 in playoffs without his loaded team with all-stars and a HOF'er.

How many all-stars and HOF'ers did Kobe have on his team last year?

Really genius? How many titles did MJ win w/o a Top 50 player (Pippen) playing alongside him and guarding the opposing team's best offensive swingman while Jordan roamed the perimeter and was allowed to play the passing lanes?

At least Kobe won 1 title WITHOUT a Top 10, a Top 5 player in the league on his team.

Besides, Gasol was an underachieving player until he teamed up with Kobe (who made him an All-Star and a legit big man in the league). Dude would continue to be a NOBODY had he stayed in Memphis.

I've forgotten more about basketball and the NBA than you will EVER know. Don't go there with me homie. It's a losing battle for you.

                            Peace.
