Re: NBA 2K10 Patch Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3)
Really good signs so far.
I've only played two 12 mins halves...Utah v Philly and Utah v Dallas...but really impressed.
- Lots...lots...more contact in the paint. Such a good feeling to go in the post with Booze and have the D collapse on me and hard foul
- Much smoother all round.
- CPU offense seems much better as they are really passing the ball around...way less "pass into the paint".
- Assists seem better...J Kidd has been controlling the Mavs offense against me and has them rolling. Lots of ISOs for Dirk...that finally don't seem to count as an assist as Kidd only ha four at the half. Nice.
Really good improvements so far...this is a legit gameplay patch. Well done 2K.
Negatives so far
Only negative I've seen = the scoreboard overlay still stays on the screen too long. They had an overlay of the NBA's top scorers and it stayed on there the whole time I ran a play (blinded by it as i can't see the court).Comment

Pick n roll still TOO effective. I can beat the computer running Pick n roll the whole game.Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 Patch Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3)
Been playing MyPlayer for a little bit before the patch with a DC made PF. Had no issues doing post-offense. After the patch while doing Post-Offense every moves I make seems to be a weird pop-squat jump with a chuck and prey shot.
Anyone else?Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 Patch Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3)
Deleted everything and played one 48 minute NBA today game on default everything. Only changed to real ft%
Nets(me) vs. Magic(cpu)
103 110
I intentionally picked a team I should have a hard time winning with.
Overall very impressed.
-Contact in the paint makes a huge difference.
-Many more deflections on passes.
-Double teams by me and cpu much more effective
-Cpu rotations are much better defending pick and roll
There was a lot to like in this game. The Magic ran the pick and roll to death, in a good way. Dwight sets screen for Jameer. If you let him roll he gets the ball in deep and its over. Back off and defend the pass Jameer was pulling up.
Dwight had 26 and 17, Jameer 25 and 10 assists.
With a team like the nets I really had to use strategy to find the 1 or 2 advantages on the court. Mainly attacked whoever Reddick was guarding.
Both teams shot 51% and each were in the upper teens in FTA. Really maybe a few tweaks are needed but overall I was really impressed.Good job! Good effort!Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 Patch Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3)
my player mode is now stuffed. Deleted everything and started fresh. Now the cpu guys never miss anymore. it's doesn't matter how many guys are guarding them they don't miss. And when my team is wide open they never hit shots. Are there any sliders to fix this problem?Comment

Re: NBA 2K10 Patch Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3)
I seriously doubt it. You could take your PS3 and go to a friend's house to plug it in there, it's quite easy (although, if you like me have the US version of the game, would have to put in a fake US address to access the US portion of the Playstation net - my local Saturn doesn't have NBA 2K10 so maybe this year there is only the US version...).Basketball-Fan and publisher of the Warlord: Saga of the Storm 4th Edition Customizable Card Game (no, you need neither a computer nor a video game console for that. You do need a D20, though).Comment

Could be that they have to write a lot more code to get changes into PS3 than in Xbox 360. I've read that 360 is easier for them to program for. Anyways, that's just a guess.Comment
