quick question, how long before you get more minutes as a back up in My Player? We are losing and I want to help, but the coach has me backing up the damn waterboy lol.

2k11 is very worthy of this threads resurrection (with a few edits of course). This patch has taken this game to GOAT status easy.

Back when I first got my HDTV and was playing CH2k8 for the first time, my dad walked in the room and thought it was an actual college basketball game on TV. I still play CH2k8 on that same TV to this day (It's paused while I'm typing this ), but 2k11 blows that game out of the water from a visual standpoint for sure.

My Xbox Live wasn't working here at Syracuse for awhile but it's finally up and running again so I can finally get the 2k11 patch. Can't wait.

Seriously though, after the update, this game is by far the greatest basketball game to hit the market.

We are so quick to complain about flaws in games ( as we should ) but not nearly as quick to praise. 2k11 is not perfec, but offline its as close to the NBA some one can get without having to tell Spike to scoot over.

              -Its smooth as butter

              -speedier offensive sets

              -dominant stars

              -unmatched post game

              -responsive isomotion

              -contact in the paint

              -vast array of animations

              -deep Association mode

              -My Player mode

-large amount of tendencies to vary players.

              -signature style

              -Nba Today feature

              -commentary

              -detailed graphics

this game sure as hell aint perfect, but it owns my soul.
Yes lets see you say these words in a couple months.

Everyone has felt and thought these things. The fact remains its always shortlived. I would say the average video games replayability is less than a couple hundred hours max. Theres a reason it costs only 60 bucks.

You get what you pay for.

This may be the best sports game out right now but the competition is not great at all. The sports genre if you look at it has some of the worst made games. First person shooter games are more realistic and well made than the sports games out and i dont even really like fps games as much as sports.

I was feeling just like you yesterday thinking I found the next great thing. That lasted less than 24 hours as countless flaws in the game engine rise up.

The more you play this game the worse it gets.

The better these games get the farther away I realize we are from a true simulation of the sport.

First off, that post that you quoted was about NBA 2k10 (it was posted in 2009).

Second, the more I play 2k11, the more I enjoy it. I still wish there was a College Hoops 2k11, but NBA 2k11 is still an amazing experience.

I like it a lot, one thing that chaps my fanny is the cpu goes too deep on their bench, playing 12 guys for the sake of playing them. Id like this scaled down, otherwise game is money.

2k11 and MLB the show have my soul. If I had to just pick 1 sport i would pick basketball so I might be a little bias on the game, lol. After the patch I would have to say these are by far the 2 greatest games ever made 1 and 1A. Of course it is still early so I guess this opinion could change if glitches show up in time in association.

The more I play this game, the more I like it, so your experiences are obviously just your own. I've played over 100 full 12 min quarter games and I still think about playing a game before bed when I'm at work - and that's just My Player mode.

I haven't even touched the Jordan stuff or Association yet.

Yeah not saying anything wrong with that. Im just the type who once he gets a mastery over some task he quickly moves on to the next task to master. Now mastering doesnt mean best in the world it just means i get to that point where it becomes too easy and i live for the struggle.

I could not disagree more. There's so many deep modes in this game, that when you get bored of one, you move onto another, and you probably won't even get bored of a mode. Jordan, an incredibly deep association, excellent my player, and solid online play will keep me on this game till mlb 2k11 comes out. (Im ann xbox guy, otherwise i would play the show)

Well you should be able to adjust how deep the cpu goes into their bench by tweaking the coach profile(s).
