I was usually money with him in this... I can only seem to shoot 3's from far away with him. All you need to do is go to practice and shoot until you get the feel of it

actually there is nothing wrong with his release..the first game i played he missed everything. But i realized you have to be open. So if you're actually open you'll make it almost 100% if u try to pull of a real life kobe shot that is contended it may miss..lol he is not the true kobe in the game

He is the true Kobe. You need to warm him up. But STLRams I think your having the problem because Kobe is actually not shooting that well in real-life right now..

I noticed that before the 1st patch, you had to release Kobe's shot early to get a perfect release. After the patch, a perfect release is when the ball is parallel to his head. That's what I saw during practice and it's working well in the games. What I'm having trouble with is Kobe's back down fade away jumper. Before, the release used to be early but now I'm not so sure. Going to have to try it out in practice.

That's true but I can leave him wide open all game when playing againstthe cpu and he misses alot, I mean alot of easy shots. Ive even turned up his mid range attribute to 90 and he still misses easy shots, when I or the CPU shoots with him.

great stuff, I thought i was one of the only people who paid that much attention to shooting in this game (as far as the misses going long/short).

one other major thing about slashers like Kobe, Dwade, Bron, and spot up shooters like Ray Allen, Peja, Mike Miller...the shot release is different off the dribble vs standing still. Sometimes it's early and sometimes later, i think it depends on the players shot.

I'm Clutch with Kobe......Most players have a hot spot in NBA 2K10, just go to Practice mode(Freestyle) pick the player of your choice and dribble around the court until your controller vibrates and that is the player's hotspot, For example Deron Williams' Hotspot is Mid-Range along the baseline. Even during games it vibrates you just don't notice it unless you already know about the hotspots.

P.S. It doesnt mean 100% off the time it goes in just a higher chance.

Yeah I just can't find a good form for him. His default is not accurate. In real life he gets more elevation and it's quicker as well. If you use his default, that's why it's tougher for you, not because of his skill.

Agreed, I have to find a better sig shot for Kobe.

                              Also....one more tip

Watch how you miss shots. Yea I know its sounds weird. But it helps. If your shot is short (hits the front of the rim). That means your release was early. If your shot is long (It will hit the back of the rim). Which means you held it too long. The last sign is if hits your shot hits the side of the rim. This means your feet weren't settled or set underneath you. This really helps you guage your next shot.
You've made a good and valuable point. It's pretty obvious that Live is just going off what 2k has achieved. Understandably though. As I like 2k, there are definitely some things 2k should examine from the competition as well as I believe their court vs. player ratio is really on point. It definitely helps when filling our the players on the court in getting good screening, cuts, etc... Something so simple becomes so big and I really believe Live noticed this and really nailed it. Both games bring great things to the table.

For some reason I can't help but to hope (doubt will ever happen) that 2k and Live will at some point in time, collaborate to create a real master piece. It's just a gamers fantasy of mine.

I don't even touch my Live anymore. Collecting dust in my 2k Locker....lol I will give it another chance when the 3rd patch comes out. Right now 2k doesn't come out of my system. I been whipping cheesers asses with low ranked teams (usually teams people don't play with)...playing smart basketball. I can beat people with so many teams now. I close my eyes and press random 3 times. And open my eyes once the tip-off (to see who I have). Thats how good this game is.
