The way I see it, to play "sim" is to employ real NBA strategies, and that doesn't necessarily mean scoring only 4 points in the paint over the course of an entire game.
Yea I had a guy in my league who got kicked out of another league. Because he fastbreak too much with the Kings (for jumpshots mind you). But he told me he could not be sucessful playing halfcourt offense with the Kings. They just won't stand up to those elite teams. Thats why I don't have rules in my league. All I ask for is sim play and sportmanship. My sliders changes are inside shot and close shot are 45. Defensive awarness is at 80 and on-ball defense is at 70 and Stamina 45. We play 9 quarter mins.

Your best alternative is the join a "sim" league or play unranked on HOF with agreed upon rules going into the game.
Totally agree here. That is exactly what I'm talking about.

Agreed... Everybody got their own meaning of the word "Sim". Most Sim folks like to play a half court game. I usually play with the Bulls and I like to run fast breaks a lot too.

I'm happy if you just try to play realistic without abusing exploits. I guess I'm more of a "semi sim" type of player.

You will never get a life like experience with video games, there will always be people complaining. Anybody seen the 46 first quarter points game by the Cavs? I bet the "sim" folks will say it's not "sim"

Same thing I said last night...when I got the test message. "The Sim Nerd must be rolling in their graves right now" lol

Fast breaks are very very easy to stop. I feel as thought some people just don't want to put their crash boards down and make concentrated effort to get the back on defense. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people stay in the back court trying to steal the outlet pass instead of getting back. Or someone trying to crash the board. There is a huge difference between beating your opponents weaknesses and beating weaknesses in the game (aka exploits). Like I said before this year I don't see any exploits in the game compared to 2k9. Which was like paint gallery. This year the only weakness I saw or felt. Was the baseline drives. Which you couldn't cause any collision or contact there. But now after the second patch. The gameplay is complete perfect in my opinion.

Yes they do, but it is hardly just 2K that does this. This is a common practice/problem
