2K really builds player models from scratch every year? It doesn't seem like it at all since some of the player models in this game have been used for 2-3 years.

Re: Player appearances that need to be worked on for 2k11
Guys? Is it possible for 2k to just take some of the mods done on 2k10 PC and simply use them for 2k11 and apply them amongst the consoles and PC or is the process much more complex than that? I really don't know what happend with Pierce. He looks like the Black version of the main character in "Powder".EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Yeah they could, considering the 360 is more powerful than most PC's. Even Crysis 2 on 360 is amazing, and Game Informer said it's maxing out PC's to look like the 360 version.Guys? So there is no reason why the PC versions of this game should ever look better than the console versions. They need to amplify the efforts in 2k11 and really give this game the visuals. 2k has always had amazing visuals since Dreamcast and Xbox.
Since they got to 360, the efforts just seem mediocre..Comment

Re: Player appearances that need to be worked on for 2k11
They do the faces anew every year, but they use the same technique and the same source pics. So if the photo is outdated, or their process (shaping a 3D head cropping around their overlay photo reference) is not perfect, then the heads retain flaws year after year.
Of course, they budget their time at some point, and as a result, the faces get new textures but not framework.Comment

Re: Player appearances that need to be worked on for 2k11
Just let's you know, what we've been missing. Amazing these things can be patched and drawn into the game. Yet yearly 2ksports doesn't attempt to give us stuff like that.
While their patching bugs and crap like they, they should add stuff like this...or even do downloadable content to a special in game 2k store. And allow us to add more accessories, shoes and jerseys into the game. Kind of like the Shrine in 2k8 CH.Comment
