I play 10 minn qtrs I lead the league with 11 a game. This is after lowering the ball handling and boosting the CPU's defense sliders.

Its an extremely easy pass to make in 2k10 too.

The turnover issue goes along with the passing issue. There should be more of a penalty for bone-headed passes. Trying to thread the needle should lead to a turnover (Based on the passers "Pass" rating and the defenders "Def Awareness" rating of course). You shouldn't be able to get many passes by a great defender like you can in this game. That would solve the lack of turnovers issue. I know the game has to be fun as well as sim but, I think the game should force you to play realistic to cut out the fake looking plays.

The problem with the turnovers is that most of the time they feel user created instead of where the CPU forced the turnover by playing good defense.

Yes the CPU has weak pass defense and they should defend passes better and force more turnovers. Thats the issue. The user created turnovers are not a problem. I use a backcourt of Roy and Andre Miller. Their pass ratings are high for their position and yes I still throw some passes out of bounds with them but almost all of those passes are bad passes where I'm usually doing multiple things to increase the difficulty of the pass. You dont see good passers throw the ball out of bounds unless you are combining several risk like throwing the ball blindly to someone behind you, throwing the ball while after leaving your feet, throwing the ball while being guarded tightly, throwing the ball while moving, leading the ball away from someone's movement, or throwing the ball to someone who is being guarded tightly. Even when I combine some of those factors Roy and Miller usually throw good passes. Only a fraction of those high risk passes go awry so I take no issue with the bad passes. If you ask they are realistic.

I see where you're comin' from but, I don't think we're asking for a turnover every time down the court. We just want turnovers that happen in real life to happen in the game (Bad passes, dribbling into traffic, charges, etc....).

Lol Sorry. I'm sim to the core.

i think the other solution would be to tone down turnovers in simmed games... i don't necessarily want to turn the ball over more, i just want to be in the correct range when i look at the list of stats... i hate seeing when i average like 6 turnovers a game and the next closest team averages 14 turnovers a game, whatever the numbers may be... the same goes with fouls! maybe having too many fouls would decrease the playability of the league... but when my players are among the lowest in the league in free throw attempts its tough to deal with

Right. I don't see how more turnovers makes the game less playable. That's kinda funny sounding to me.

Well this thread is for "Things in 2k10 that make you want to throw the controller". Its obvious to show in this thread, that many people became frustrated with too many turnovers. So who wants to play a game that makes you frustrated?? You may not agree, but I definitely see how more turnovers makes the game less playable. No one is saying get rid of turnovers, just tone it down.

Ha, it really does seem like that sometimes. I'll work so hard for a deflection on defense and the bouncing "50-50" ball always seems to end up back in my opponents' hands. I just want to initiate a couple of fast breaks in the open floor!

About loose balls, why can't any of the players chase down one??? I'm pretty sure any player in the league can catch one before it rolls down the other side of the court.

Forcing the player to play smart basketball would NOT make the game less playable. It would make the game more playable IMO for people who actually KNOW how to play real ball.

Well not everyone actually KNOWS how to play real ball, as far as I know. This is a game rated 'E' for all ages so I'm pretty sure all not all children, teenagers, and adults KNOW how to play ball. And there is something called 'difficulties' in games, but when you have so many b.s. turnovers in each difficulty, what could you do?

Exactly what I was trying to say before...I think thats what the sliders are for really. I do understand from a "sim stats" point of view. But not from a gameplay point of view. Some users already have trouble playing this game. Lets not make it harder guys. IMO its perfect right now.
