Re: NBA 2K11 at E3: The Death of Isomotion
the Shot Stick is what saved the series for me after 2K4 and 2K5...and also the 2K6 Isomotion. If not for that, I wouldn't buy 2K6 and on...My Specs:
ZX Spectrum
CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
OS: Sinclair BASICComment

Just because they got rid of isomotion doesn't mean that crossovers won't still be on the left stick. Actually, if you read GameInformers impressions of 2K11, they say that they saw the developer using the LS to do crossovers.Comment

Case in point - My boy plays b-ball, too, and he could NEVER get into console basketball games, although he was a console gamer growing up, because the feel wasn't right to him, so, one day right after the Live 10 demo came out, he was in town and came by to play Madden 10, with Madden being his favorite game to play for the last decade or so, and he wanted to check out the Live 10 demo, first. Guess what? He couldn't put it down. One of the first things he said about the game was how he dug how the moves were on the right joystick because it made him "feel" like he was on the ball court. We musta played over 20 games of the demo because he couldn't get enough of it and we never did get to Madden.Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....Comment

That's actually where I LIKED the shot stick. Otherwise, right stick for moves, please...for the most part. Gotta see what Elite 11 does with the combination of shot and moves on one stick.Just cuz you pour syrup on ish....Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 at E3: The Death of Isomotion
wow are most of you new to 2k that post here.Seems every new guy wants the right stick to be for dribbling lol. wtf this isnt nba live kiddies. this is 2k where shot stick will AWAYS be from now on. i own nba live 08-10 and dribbling with the stick is to arcadey, doesnt require users to LEARN anything. in 2k you have to learn the moves but brain power isnt supposed to be used on a videogame it seems. everyone switches to ALT A config and claim they know how ot play the game. instead of wishing that RT = dribbling how about PRACTICE MODE= learn to dribble?Last edited by Teebone21; 06-16-2010, 01:33 AM.Comment

I'm glad they removed isomotion. Good to hear about the devs focusing on polishing the look and feel of the game.Comment

Sorta kinda surprised, but if the developers believe they have something better then go for it. Just make sure Tracy Morgan unveils it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 at E3: The Death of Isomotion
The problem with Isomotion isn't the fact that it's too "difficult". It's that it is hella unresponsive and needs a change. For cripes sake we've had the same dribbling system, with the same name, since 2k5. We need an overhaul.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 at E3: The Death of Isomotion
Don't you want more user control? In case you hadn't noticed, this is a video game, yes we want sim but we also want it to be fun, iso wasn't fun to control. I found it tedious.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 at E3: The Death of Isomotion
2K11 NEEDS a more simple, but at the same time, more complex and responsive control scheme when it comes to crossovers. Simple as that.Comment
