I'll probably check out some of the classic teams in practice mode. Last time I played with Dominique Wilkens & Patrick Ewing they didn't have fingers!!! I'm excited to see them next gen.

check out all the new features and modes. pick the 1996 bulls team. play against the 2010 heat. proceed to have jordan light up the heat.

go to Situation Mode ( provided its still there) and play the 98 bulls vs 98 jazz with a few seconds left and recreate jordans last shot and other jordan classic specific moments

I'm going to practice and get used to the game then start a quick game with LA versus Boston. After I'll play one Jordan challenge then start up My Player mode. After that I will start Association mode.

Practice mode, first check out the jumpshot and FT releases for my squads, then as per my usual, I split my teams up and run random scrimmages to 100. No commentary, crowds, or needless presentation, just b-ball.

I seem to be able to really see the game momentum changes pretty clearly when I scrimmage. 2K ebbs and flows so nice...

Tutorial System – Take advantage of this step-by-step tutorial to learn both the basic and advanced moves in NBA 2K11. Using Michael Jordan as your player, go through each move on the court one at a time until you have mastered them all.

This is what I will do first, after looking through menus and just trying out a couple of classic teams.

im late, but what i want to do is first take a glance at the teams ratings, than i go and check what Tracy mcgrady looks like, and edit his abilities to how i like it, because i doubt anybody scouts this guy like i do.TRUST ME

but with 2k11 i might actually spend my time first in practice mode learning the controls, and then getting DET playbook down(cuz t-mac is with them now)

Seriously, I'm going to go play with probably every team in the game then take about 3 months after release to find what team I'm going to run with in an offline dynasty. Then I'm going to get 20 games into the season and lose interest and start all over. I'm going to do this about 20 times throughout the cycle of the game.

I will play against a few of the top tier teams from the past and see who the dominate players are and how well they can read the game. My desire for these games is to play against a computer opponent that feels as smart, if not smarter than me. The videos seem to support this desire of mines.

I will pop it in and go right to practice mode to get familer with the controls and really learn all the in's and outs with the iso motion moves, low post moves etc. I want to become a competent baller in this game. Never felt that way with NBA2K9. The controls felt clunky because of so many animations. I hope the controls this year are tight and life like and I feel I more control. Defensive AI is critical for this game to be a hit IMO as well.

Once I am feeling very good about my stick skills it is onto some pre-season games using a bunch of teams to get a feel for how they play. I will then of course select my Miami Heat and embark on a glorious Association.

I will also hit the Jordan challenges to unlock all the classic teams ASAP. And I will fool around in My Player and create one for sure. So I will be buried in this game for many months.

I am really stoked for this game. I have not been this excited for an NBA B-Ball title since NBA Live 2005.
