Re: I Played it
Sorry for not answering but its awful with an iphone. Now im o the mac of my friend and try to share my thoughts.
I played a lot lot of games today - I must say I was really suprised to see 2K11 there.
First and most important: the movement is way better than in the last 2 games. Its not super exact and quick like 2k7 because there is more weight to the players and a correct footplanting technology i guess. As i said it feels a lot like 2k8 in the movement area.
Second most imporant: the shooting feels a lot better than in 2k10. For the most part they look similar but now you have the control of the release point back. This was so important because in 2k10 the shot animation triggert automatically without user input on release. I have to say that the standing still jump shot does not feel as fluid as in 2k7/8 but miles better than 2k10. Im a big fan of momentum shots so I instantly tried to run with the ball and hit the shooting button. I was very happy to see a pull up jump shot which felt really nice and looked awesome. I think that every player has his own. But the best part is that you can pull off different momentum shots depending on where you point the left and right stick. You know the signature shot from wade in Live 10? You can do that in 2k11 manually when you push the left stick backward and shoot. You can even make the rondo fake and then go into a jump shot just by pressing the right stick in the opposite direction youre running.
Defense was well aware of passing lanes so I had a lot of turnovers of passes. The paint felt more crowded there was a lot of contact in there.
There are some animations when a bad passer passes the ball to a teammate he struggles to hold it. I even saw some fumbles. The ball felt more free.
Presentation was a bit of a disappointment. Just the usual pre game routines. In game there were some nice new layovers but nothing too special.
Spacing didnt feel better than last year I have to admit.
Fake pass is on B(360) - didnt work once against the CPU. There is a little animation where he follows the movement of the fake pass but I couldnt catch the CPu off guard with the fake.
Dribbling looked awesome Wade was pulling moves on me like crazy.
The CPU ran one play that impressed me a lot. High Pick for Wade - he gets around the pick - a third player comes to help out - Wade dishes out to Miller for the threee. Oh speeking of sihing out - now there is an automatic animation when you pass to a player at the perimeter where he pulls back behind the three point line.
Sorry Im a bit busy atm. So thats all for now. Maybe i can answer some more questions later.Comment

The million dollar question:
Simulation gameplay wise, is 2k11 going to be as good or better than 2k8?Comment

Re: I Played it
I think that 2k11 will be the most sim game since 2k8. Maybe even more sim. thats just my opinion because of the defense and one thing I forgot: Like in Live 10 when you keep pushing towards the defender (in the paint mainly) you will loose the ball. The less skilled players loose the ball more often. I had a LOT of turnovers.Comment

Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: I Played it
Sounds good so far...i like the momentum shot they added, this should be pretty good."The more you sweat in practice , the less you bleed in battle."
