Yes what about all that "TNT presentation style" stuff? K thought better camera angles were included there...but it's the demo anyway, so maybe they're just using 2K10 cameras.Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

00:25 into the demo video, compared to this actual mave arena(from the playoffs) http://i.ytimg.com/vi/PcIm_-FEwDU/0.jpg
Looks pretty damn accurate to me. and court spacing center to 3s looks correct.
Open your eyes people.
And player models look accurate too.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
Can you make a game that run as fast as 2k7 without it being a dunk fest? That's what i am interested on. Or can you make a game with all those stuffs that you added like weight and momentum and all sorts of animation and STILL makes the players move fast like 2k7?? I still have yet to witness this. Until i see it, i will not hail it as the greatest game of all time. Until then...see you around.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
I don't think there is enough footage to conclude the presentation. However, the presentation elements do look much slicker and smoother. We don't know all the camera cuts, replay cuts, halftime possibilities, end quarter cuts, end game cuts, and anything else that the reworked presentation could deliver.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
It's quite possible they went back to the 2K9 days.
However, length/distance between 3-point line and halfcourt line is incorrect. Should be 5 feet longer. Live 10 was perfect. 2K has never fixed this issue.

Pause it at 3:28 Look at the length/distance between the 3-point line and the halfcourt line. Now compare it to 2K11 demo video. It's quite obvious.
Damn How many times are you going to point that out, you must have OCD or something.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
No wonder we get very little game footage from 2K early on. Its amazing how poised people are to complain with no regard for circumstance or conditions.
1. This is a demo of an unfinished product
2. The Gamerstyle is confirmed to be on casual
3. The default setting for pretty much every 2K game has been pro; if this is on default as confirmed, there is no reason to assume this video is on any other level
4. There is a human player involved, hell bent on double teaming every possession and getting to the rim at all costs.
Basically, it makes no sense to comment on how the game plays based on an unclear(dark) 1:00 video with all these variables. In fact, most should realize that the only way to truly get a feel for the game is to play it; loose gameplay vids will only provide general impressions unless a developer is narrating showing specific elements. Im going to watch closely all these dudes -itchin and moaning about how this game is a dunkfest and the same as last year. We get this every year, and guys change there tune eventually every year when detailed information comes out.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
Honestly I only saw 3 overhead passes and One of them was warranted. At the end of the video between 1:50 and 2:02. Two Heat players make bounce passes that in 2k10 would have been overhead passes.Comment

I think you may have a point. On TNT broadcast you usually cant see the first couple of rows of seats like in that ESPN picture. Who Knows?Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
Judging from the video alone, its not that great, but its not that bad either. Its still early to tell, but I remember it was mentioned that the camera angle was improved. It looks exactly the same as it has been for the past 2 years. Maybe they meant the other camera angles, Or by camera angles. he meant the cut scenes. I don't know.
The truth of the matter is that they did not do the engine over from scratch. It would have killed their budget. This is clearly 2k9 or 2k10 with new animations and player models. Which is not really a bad thing as both were good games.
Both sides have a right to their opinion. I agree it is too early to judge, and i understand the overreaction as last year 2k10 was had some awful issues at release, but improved greatly with the patch. We shouldn't be too concerned as this will most likely play well right out of the box.
I see complaints about the spacing, Maybe the speed of the game was up, but while dwade was jogging upcourt,a lot of ground was being covered very quickly. Much quicker than 2k10, thats for sure.
I just cannot wait to see more videos and I know this will be better at release than 2k10 was. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy the game for a whole year and instead of half a year, with the other half waiting on a patch.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom
I liked what I saw from the very short video. In particular, I liked the two-hand finish by Brendan Haywood and the "unforced" turnover by D-Wade. It'll be nice to see the computer actually mishandling and turnover the ball. That was one of my biggest pet peeves with 2K10. I'm also hopeful that everyone no longer has Jason Kidd/Steve Nash type court vision.San Antonio Spurs 5 - Time ('99, '03, '05, '07, '14) NBA Champions
