Re: NBA 2K11 Videos: GamesCom Demo (DaWolf)
The CPU offense looks beastly even just from the demo. A lot of intelligent decisions. Hopefully it will be on CH2K8's level."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: NBA 2K11 Videos: GamesCom Demo (DaWolf)
presentation looks good, lebron may be a touch too built but still good. only gripe is that the animations look a little too much like Live with the ball arcing really high and bouncing about a foot higher than the square, which isn't realistic, but if that's gonna be the only negative, ill definitely be getting it 1st dayComment

The movements and animations are the best and most realistic I have seen in a basketball game. If the controls for this game are fluid and responsive then this game will be legendaryComment

C'mon now... you know if he played like that in Live it would look just as bad. He's playing it as if it's Nba Jam taking halfcourt shots, shooting with bigs, and throwing oops as if someones gonna catch it and spin 4 times before dunking.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Videos: GamesCom Demo (DaWolf)
After watching all the videos, this game has so many little details done right, it would be a pain explaining them all.
Some highlights for me:
-I loved seeing the AI CPU tip or steal stupid passes.
-Jumpers look really smooth and flow well. Loving the momentum and footplanting. I also didn't see any sliding.
-Really nice to see when you try to force the ball in the paint, you lose the ball.
-I love the gather animation Shawn Marion did at 32-33 seconds in this vid.

This really resmembles real-life basketball.
The only gripe after watching them all is when Dirk got injured everything/everyone stopped. In real life the Mavs would call a Time-Out or wait until a dead ball to take Dirk out. Either that or Dirk plays through the pain.
I just don't like when injuries occur(this has been the case in 2K NBA games for awhile) they can sub out of the blue/everything stops.
The fact that this is my only complaint speaks volumes as to how good 2K11 will be. It's going to be a kick-*** game!!
Oh yeah does the AI CPU front the post? Maybe they do it in Simulation?Comment

The game looks really smooth. The shot fake and pass fake are really done well IMO. The dribble animations we can see look to compliment players much better than in previous versions. Guys get up into their shot better too, looks more momentum based and less animation based. Guys are moving around much better, a better sense of urgency as was said in a previous developer insight.
From the way the guy is playin' in the demo as Dallas, it has me wondering if the new control scheme will have me in the virtual practice court ironing things out. In any event, me and thumbs cannot wait!!!! (how am I suppose to graduate law school with this?! j.k.)Comment
