Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Team Introduction and Gameplay, From Gamescom Demo (Xboxworldch)

I'm liking the way the a.i. is looking in this game, it's punking these guy's that don't know how to play. And overall the gameplay looks smoother than years past. I bought live the past two years but I might have to get both this year, don't know yet haven't seen enough from live/elite yet to know for sure.

Oh and get the damn headbands right for these kid's, forget gameplay just get the headbands right, I'm tired of hearing them cry... lol headbands.

no one is saying headbands are the #1 priority but to have the headband wrong for Lebron year after year when people keep pointing it out and asking for it to be changed is getting annoying. Its one of those visual things that start to bother you when you see it wrong year after year.

Itd be like giving Kobe Bryant the mini fro he used to have and never changing it year after year even though his hair is short. Or if they gave Bosh dreads again this year even though he cut them. its a visual thing that should be pretty easy to fix but they just choose not to do it.

As tired as you are of seeing people cry about headbands, the people crying are just as tired of seeing them wrong year in and out.

Its not like all the guys that wear headbands wear it with the logo on the side. Other than Rondo, Terry, Magette, Q-Rich and a few others its not like so many guys wear it to the side as opposed to the front so why not just give us the option of logo placement like center, side and back (for guys like Melo). It never hurts to give us more options. It only helps get things more realistic. More players prob wear blank headbands like Rasheed, Mo Williams, Varejao, Posey, Devin Brown, Eddie House, etc than guys that wear it to the side.

Exactly. When someone quotes offensive messages, they're re-posting them, and it's not good for the thread and the people contributing here. hitting the report button will keep this thread clean.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

also, looking at that vid it doesnt appear that they fixed the long sock problem from last year. It looks like Jason Terry is once again wearing white spandex. I could be wrong since its a little hard to tell but at 8:11, it looks like the spandex are once again back.

Totally unrealistic. Lebron is actually listening to his coach and not staring off into space.

Giving everyone digital pictures is the most logical way to go IMO.
                I totally agree!!

I am hoping they switched away from real portraits to psuedo cyber face things.

Will wait until full release to make complete judgment, but who knows how old this demo build is.

But I do like what I see.
I can't see how you can say this looks almost identical to 2K10, it looks much more polished.

The player models look less bulky, Lebron's face looks closer to the way he really looks, the score overlay is different, the substitution pop up menu is different, etc. Outside of animations? Animations make a big difference to the look of a game, especially considering these are more fluid. Player movement eg transitions look less robotic as well.

I see a big improvement over 2K10 already.

I hate when people say "LOL" Ok you was just about to say what I said, it might have been funny to you but I know it didn't make you "LAUGH OUT LOUD". IDK maybe Im just sick of people using it at the end of EVERY sentence.

The shooting looks really good and hopefully it is not as easy as last year to shoot. The guys playing the demo couldn't beat were horribe though. LOL

The TWO main things I want to see this year from Mike Wang and team are.
                        1. A.I. Rebounding
                        2. Online Lobbies

It doesn't matter if two baby's were playing the game, it still would look good. Don't base what the game will play like from watching lesser skilled players play. Look at how smooth the game looks with the new shots and animations. Imagine yourself with that controller in your hand, doesn't the game look much better now.

They still have time to fix the little things people have pointed out so far, so lets let them do that.

Better graphics than 2k has ever had...No sliding...very fluid movement...All the little nuances are intact...Excellent presentation...and this all in one or two small videos of an unfinished game.

I must say that I will DEFINATELY be coming back to 2k this year...This is probably the best couple of videos I have ever seen of any sports game in 20 years...This game looks very good and the upside is its early

the more videos u c the more u the realization is rendered in my mind that VC team has used a lot of coffee and energy drinks this development cycle on making the nba 2k IP
one thing i wanna point out was after Chris Bosh diped his shoulder and went in for the beautiful run in layup with defensive physical contact,he did an ackward sliding like ice slide motion that spung him around towards the oposite direction to point downcourt
Humans fear what they dont understand, hate what they cant concur i guess its just the theory of man
