Going with my beloved Jazz as usual :P Probably will trade Okur for defensive C and maybe CJ Miles. Thinking about Gortat or Thabeet. I always was playing 29 games season, but this time I will control all 30 teams (hope they will improve trading, morale, chemistry AI), play 58 games season (play 29) and play every second game in the Playoffs. Should be fun

I'll be using the Kings or Pacers. Most likely the Kings. Nice young core to start with. don't think I'll make any trades right away

This is my kind of guy!!!

        I wont be doing auto...

I will be "God" and control/GM every team and Coach The Sixers

Depending how great the gameplay/controls are, I'll play with them...

I am planning on trading Iggy(maybe to the Bulls?) at the Trade DL, try to ship Brand off as well somewhere between the DL or in the offseason...

Look for a Center or SF in the Draft, sign some specialists(shooters, rebounders, defenders)to fill the bench

        Holiday
        Turner
        Young
        Speights
        Hawes

        Williams

That's the core I'll be building around for the first couple of seasons...

It was nice trying to rebuild the Knicks in the past 2k's, now I get to stick with the home team since NY pretty much have a low tier playoff team now.........Ummm Or atleast a team worth watching

Re: What Do You Plan On Doing With Your Association Team in 2k11?

Taking the Heat as is in year one. I will try to improve the Point Guard position though, if I can via Free Agency. But as a 20 year Heat fan this will be a special time to play as the Heat after enduring some lean years in video basketball (early NBA Live days we are talking about) with the likes of Billy Owens, Kevin Edwards and the like.

I am really excited for this game. I had been a Live guy on PS2. When I went PS3 NBA 2K9 was the first game I picked up for 20 bucks. I did love the Association, however the gameplay was not there for me. I really hope everything get's tightened up as far as rebounding and blocks as well as dribbling out of bounds and most importantly player control. It seemed to be a dunk fest with no defense and the AI hit threes at will.

I was on the fence about Elite or 2K this year....after just reading a ton of threads, seeing some vids....easy choice for me now. And the demos will probably solidify it for 2K.

The Jordan mode and classic teams alone are a slam dunk for this purchase.

I am not the best video b-baller. In fact I have a lot to learn as far as running plays. I love the depth of 2K it is an amazing franchise experience as I did do a Heat chise on 2K9 for one season.

Now that I know about this site I will check in for the best set of sliders for my level of play. The biggest problem I had with 2K9 was I could not find the right balance. it was either too easy or too hard.

Back to the Heat. Here is my starting 5

              PG - Carlos Arroyo
              SG - Dwayne Wade
              SF - Lebron James
              PF - Chris Bosh
              C - Joel Anthony

              6th man - Udonis Haslem
              7th man - Mike Miller

I can see getting Juwan Howard some important minutes as well.

Me and my buddy will take the 95 New York Knicks, so we can have Stan and Jeff van Gundy on our bench!

We get rid of all the past Knicks players and take 98 Jordan and Kemp into our team. He will lock MJ, I will lock Kemp.

As the rest of the starters we take Vasquez as PG, Sasha Vujacic as SF and Chris Andersen as C.

When Kemp is on the bench I will play Brian Scalabrine and let it rain.

The other spots in our rosters will be filled with James "Buddha" Edwards, Jud Buechler, 97 Parish, Joe "Tacos" Kleine, and some other legends.

Interesting. Never thought of putting frye at PF considering we'd need a backup center. But if I move warrick that might be a good idea.

Whether my team is still alive or not, it'd be fun playing a series with the Heat, Thunder, Bulls, or whoever I want.

I'm not sure how many seasons I'll complete though, as I'll spend more time out-of-Association than usual because of the whole Jordan deal and the older teams (can't wait to play as the '86 Celtics, GP/Kemp Sonics, Malone/Stockton Jazz, etc.). But at 29 games a year I'll probably complete 3-4 seasons or so. If I get multiple seasons in it'll be fun building the team back up around Rondo after KG and Ray's contracts expire.

Side note: I hope 2k doesn't screw the Celtics over chemistry-wise due to programming Shaq/Jermaine/Perk to bitch about smaller roles and less playing time. I'm expecting to have to trade one of them, though, unfortunately.
Not if 2k lowered the ratings even more (5 points lower than NBA 2k10's defaults)

But they need to redo the whole Roles. chemistry and morale feature to something more immersive and we should be able to build a core group of guys who work well together ala CHoops2k8 and the Pistons (I like players bitching btw, the only thing players cry about is playing time and its lame because if you fix the foul tendency on players[its too high in the defaults] players wont complain at all unless you black ball them)

                        This.

I usually end up spending 90% of my time with nba games in the association mode so this is huge for me. Bring on the info!!!

I haven't decided who i'm going to use first up. I'll probably try to unlock the Jordan challenges and then play through some of the Jordan career mode etc first.

As for the Association i generally like exciting young teams that i can build up so i might have to go with the Nets, Grizz or OKC.

Really.....after years of enduring so/so to bad teams then having some great ones with the ZO/Hardaway years then going on the youth movment with Lamar/Caron /Wade then the Shaq years..then the dark year in Shaqa last season...to this..I can't resist playing with the 3 Kings.

You have to! lol. I imagine it could get boring winning every game.

I've always played as the team KG is on, so I'll be the celtics again this year.

I usually only play one season in association mode, and all 82 games. I know the point is multiple seasons but it's too hard to do that with 82 games unless I sim a lot, which I may do this year for the less important games during the year.

Regardless I'm comfortable with their real life roster. As in real life I may try to find one more wing player to back up Pierce/Allen, I used to use Tony Allen to back both of them up but obviously he's gone now.

I try to keep the rosters as close to real life as possible, so being the Wizards last year wasn't very fun. I'm really looking forward to playing with Wall this year. I might even break my own rules and trade Arenas for Vince Carter.
