I love 2k and all...and I already pre-ordered it...but c'mon guys...
OVERHEAD PASSES >_< ENOUGH!! I don't even care if they release the same game next year as virtually a roster update with some presentation tweaks...
ENOUGH OVERHEAD PASSES. Nobody plays basketball like that. :/Why is Matt Millen on TV? Like... Analyzing talent.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat (9 Minutes of Gameplay)
Dont have to go into details but ... have you saw any playoffs/finals games ? and if so, is there any significant difference witht the "sound & visual crowd atmospheras" of those games in respect of normal games ? ... we have seen differences already within nomal games and compared to last year ... thus they seem not that significant, seem not close to the standards set by the competition last year ...Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat (9 Minutes of Gameplay)
The way Wade was keeping Nash from getting by him was what was so great to see. He was in a stance, moving his feet, angling back, beating Nash to the spot where he want get to, but not by warping or applying some force field to Nash. There didn't seem to be any instances of 2-man canimations sucking the players into pre-determined sequences.
What is also opens up is if you can force the d to turn their shoulder to beat you to that spot... You can then pullup... If you really like basketball there are so many tiny improvements like that that just take the enjoyment of the title to another level. IMO of course.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

@ Da_Czar
Did you in any instance feel any suction on the perimeter when you were the ballhandler? In 2k10, there were several instances where the CPU would be connected to you like glue making it impossible to get past them sometimes. This is was my biggest pet peeve with 2k10.
ThanksComment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat (9 Minutes of Gameplay)
JF in some early feedback session we talked extensively about the necessity of the defense to retreat in the appropriate angles. To me it makes a world of difference when the cpu defense is not causing contact in unrealistic angles.

there Are a couple of angles however that if you attack the defense you can be sucked in to initiate the fifa stuff. Immediately after you can break out or spin off of course.
That is an extreme nitpick however because it didn't happen with great regularity and if you compare it too all the sucktion that happens in 2k10 without the ability to break out of it then its not worth mentioning.
I am also very surprised no one has mentioned that the cpu doesn't face guard the offensive players anymore... They defend at a realistic distance which also helps to eliminate some of that unnecessary contact were so used to.
So you eliminate the unrealistic defensive speed and the unrealistic defensive pressure ( being too close to the offensive player) then you program the defense to retreat to the proper angles and beat the man to the spot and it really really opens up the halfcourt game. Especially if you force the defense to help even on All-star there is no magic recovery. You have to give up something to get something.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat (9 Minutes of Gameplay)
Is this OS ? How in the world is no one talking about how the cpu controlled Heat had lebron dominating the basketball ?
Has another game ever done that ? He was actually running a big part of the offense as the SF.
Last year they would bring the ball up a few times then pass it to the pg to run the offense....Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Not a lot. Don't forget they have that fifa styled ability to break out of perimeter contact. I can see that getting overlooked and guys just watching it play out instead of being active.

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat (9 Minutes of Gameplay)
Hey Czar some of those long outlet passes are bugging me do you see that a lot against the CPU?
It was strange to see Lebron throw that pass to Miller. Not saying he couldn't do it but that seemed like a pass that should have been picked off. Saw another example of it with Drexler catching a rebound and throwing it full court in the other vid.
Reminded of last year how the CPU would abuse my AI controlled teammates cuz they knew none of them would pick it off lol!Comment

- Lebron is ball hogging and gets fouled everytime he decides to attack the rim and not settle for jumpshots. He does get awarded for foul calls and free throws in real life.Follow me on Twitter: @domidomdomz
