Re: Demo trick to running plays?

I don't think I've ever played any NBA 2k game in its series without 2k cam. Even on 2k9 when they didn't have the 2k camera online. I didn't touch online lol. Even when I play offline vs humans who insist on playing in broadcast. I just won't play them lol. I think my brain just has a really hard time adjust to left-right to right-left. Doing moves and playing defense makes more sense for in that angle.

But now that I think about it. I don't think I've ever played a NBA 2k demo before. I've always gotten the game way early. And the demo releases way after. So I never even played a demo before last night.

Again bothers me that its only one player and one team.

I agree, I need the 2K cam to feel right. I can never play MY game with this kind of cam. I need to see the court like I do in real life when running point, that's when I can really create.

I been playing 2k since it started with the dreamcast...i remember the years you would have to play online with 1 cam and that when i stopped playing online. i absolutely hate 2k Cam and the players that use it launching the ball up the court everytime...So yea i know what you mean. I could never play you in person

Ok I think I got it, the LB/L1 button is not just the double team but POSISTIONAL PLAYS. When you are running up press and hold the LB/L1 button and one of the ICON buttons. If Fisher stops moving pass it to the player running up to double and then pass it back. When you move Fisher you'll see the blue circle on the floor and then you can run plays. I ran a play with Fisher and Artest where Artest set a pick and you run around and then pass back to him for an open shot. I think there are only one play per player for right now.

Edit: When a red circle goes around the player, press one of the button and they will do a play. It doesn't say which play it is but you can just follow it. It takes some getting used to but at least it's play calling.

Co-sign. I have a friend jeebs who also won't play on anything but 2k cam(That was the camera I played on as well up to 2k8). Amongst my friends we have a HOME CAMERA rule where who ever's home we play at we must use that person's favorite camera. My friend for that reason doesn't leave his home much.lol.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

2k cam is sooo weird to me. When your in a association, it takes away from how realistic the game looks because games on TV aren't shown in the camera. The animations overall just look better on broadcast to me. I can't get jumpshot timing down too good on 2k cam either. Online though, I guess I can see why others like it.

Oh my god has anyone seen that ankle breakin move when you do the right stick guess charge and guess wrong. I did that with Fisher on Rondo and Fisher got shook so bad I'm still laughing.

Now that's pretty funny lol. A long time ago. I think 2k8. We use to play ever other court. Who ever won the tip got the camera for first and fourth quarters. But sooner or later one by one each one of my friends turned to the 2k camera lol. Must of them notice a huge difference in the game performance.

See, that's the difference in philosophy. I, for one, value gameplay over looks. I want a camera that gives me the best view for running plays, not a camera that best imitates what I see on TV. If I'm playing football, I would never want to play side view, even though it looks like what you see on TV. It would harm gameplay. Side view in basketball games doesn't harm gameplay as much, but it definitely doesn't imitate what it's like from a player's perspective.

Speaking of plays, why are plays disabled in the demo anyway? I'm going to try the workaround, but the disabling of plays and the broadcast camera are the two reasons I haven't even finished a full game on the demo.
