I use 2k as well, I believe its most efficient way to do dribble moves and the shot stick when driving, because right and left is actually right and left hand and not up and down. I am starting to get used to the broadcast cam on the demo (ive played at least 50 quarters, so I hope im used to it now) but I still don't like it as much as 2k. I think you can see passing angles better from the 2K cam, and I think its easier to see plays develop from the 2k view.

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
I prefer the Broadcast or Nosebleeds camera angle. I have a problem with the north/south cameras in the paint. It screws with my depth perception. I'm either too far under the basket or not close enough. I think it would be cool to have a north/south birds-eye view camera mainly for practicing the plays.Comment

I prefer the broadcast view. I'm so used to it but there are a few more other angles I like to use when I play.Greatest Franchise Ever

2k Cam all the way, since NBA 2k on the Dreamcast. I can't use broadcast at all. I get really disoriented trying to figure out where my guys are in the corners.Proud member of the OS Bills Backers.

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
Thats the same problem I have. And also when teaching new people the game its easier for them to learn that way. I can't play in any other cam angle. That would make it more confusing to me after dealing with Broadcast as-is for 6 years. They were absolute in Live and I couldn't deal with Broadcast in that game either because you're now standing on the other side of the basket (i.e. attacking baseline) and everything is reversed from how it appears on the screen. Blegh, vertical cams all the way for me...Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

You see I've seen severally users try to throw this argument out there. Especially new coding, passing rating and new animations. I think people can start throwing that argument out of the window.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
^^Agreed, some people may use the 2K cam for those reasons, but I use it strictly for much more sense it makes to do crossovers and use the shot stick when right on the stick means right hand and left on the stick left hand, as well as passing angles are easier to see. Im always willing to sacrifice graphics for gameplayComment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
broadcast is good graphically
2k cam is the way to go if you want greater control and vision. You can see the floor as you would if you were playing in real life and the iso motion becomes easier, but the game doesn't look as good graphically and depth perception still isn't as it would be in real lifeComment

But I have to say...I've always hated that argument. It really bothered me to hear user calling other users cheeser because they felt more comfortable using 2k camera. 2k10 had some improvements in long passes. But in 2k11 I see HUGE improvements.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
The game looks more natural on broadcast...I never could stomach the screen flipping every possession...I prefer playing the game like I see it on TV and the game simply looks the best on Broadcast view. Also old habits are hard to break...So don't think the cheesers of 2k versions past are still using the 2k view hoping to re-live their days of long passes and isomotion abuseComment

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?
I know some people that were have problems playing the game because they are so use to Broadcast camera (I blame the Live 97-Until series). Problems as in they are just not good. Or most of the time is because they have a hard time defending. And I've made the suggestion to change to the 2k camera. And every single time the person made huge improvements in their overall game.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
